On Thursday, May 9, 2019, at approximately 7:38pm officers of

the Madison Police Department responded to a domestic

disturbance at a residence on Ashley Terrace in Madison. While

enroute officers learned that a male subject at the residence

had allegedly fired a shot from a firearm at a female as she was

fleeing from the residence. Officers arrived at the location

and secured the immediate area. While attempting to make

contact with the male subject at the residence they learned he

was located down the street from the home. He was taken into
custody without incident. There were no injuries to either

party during this incident.

The subject was identified as George G. Young, age 53, of

Madison. After further investigation he was charged with

Domestic Violence – Aggravated Assault. Young was transported

to the Madison County Detention Center awaiting his initial

appearance before Madison Municipal Court.
