Sabai OS 7 – Update instructions

Step 1: Getting Started

❖ Connect your router to your computer with an Ethernet cable or by connecting to the WiFi.
*if you must connect via WiFi, please reconnect to the router default WiFi "Sabai24" with password sabaipass123
after upgrade in order to reconfigure your router
❖ Log into your router interface by entering 192.168.199.1 in your browser address bar. The default credentials are
admin and sabaipass123. Click on Upgrade to find the model name and firmware version.

Step 2: Download your router firmware file:

❖ Download the firmware file corresponding to your router model from the following link: Sabai OS Firmware Files

Step 3: Retrieve your activation token from your router: (If your router has already been reset and is asking for a token, skip this step.)
❖ Click on Diagnostics/System and enter the following command and click Execute. Copy the resulting number

nvram get srcnvrv.

Step 4: Update the router:

❖ Please note: Updating from versions prior to OS 7+ results in a full reset. You will not be able to make a backup and
restore that backup once updated. Please make note of your custom settings.
❖ Click on Network/Basic and check the Type. If it is set to PPPoE then take note of the username and password. If it is
Static, take note of the IP addresses. If it is DHCP you do not need to do anything.

❖ Click on Upgrade.

❖ Click Choose file or Browse and find the file downloaded from the Dropbox link in Step 2. Verify that the model
numbers match.

❖ Versions prior to OS 7 click the check box “After flashing, erase all data in NVRAM memory”. Skip this step if your
firmware version is 7 or later.

❖ Click Upgrade then OK. Your router will upgrade and reboot.

*Please reconnect to the router default WiFi "Sabai24" with password sabaipass123 after upgrade

❖ If you are asked to activate, enter your email address in the activation box and click Activate Manually. Enter the token
you retrieved in Step 3. Then click Activate.

❖ If you have problems activating, please copy the code you receive and email it to activation@sabaitechnology.com
