1. Develop a minimum of six questions for an interview with your mentor about educating
staff towards each level of the Five Level Hierarchy. Turn these questions in with this
assignment.
Level 1 – What are some ways to keep an employee up to date with current knowledge and skills
Level 2 – If an employee lacked the ability to help your team succeed, how do you get that
Level 3 – How do you educate a person to effectively lead a group to achieve specific goals and
objectives?
Level 4 – A Level 4 leader is most common. How do you educate a person to make the final

3. Create a plan for developing your staff at each of the Level Five Hierarchy levels.
Level 1 – My plan for developing my staff at this level is by having them work with their strong
points.
Level 2 – As the person works with their strong points, at the same time, I would have them
work with a partner or small group of employees to develop their weaknesses. Doing this will
cause them to develop new knowledge, skills, work habits, and contribute their strengths to the
team.
Level 3 – From developing from a Level 1 leader to a Leader 2 leader, the employees should
have the skill set to able to manage employees because of their multiple skill set and rounded
background.
Level 4 – From being a Level 3 leader, a Level 4 leader would need to set goals, encourage team
Level 5 – A Level 5 leader will need to build success through humility, responsibility, discipline,
and passion.
A checklist of my expectations and criteria for my staff would be the following: treat others as
you want to be treated, act in an ethical/professional manner, support the vision of the team,
report to work on time and let higher authority know if you’ll be gone ahead of time, perform
your job at the highest level possible, and continue educating yourself through conferences.
5. Explain how you would evaluate the success of your staff education plan.
I would simply evaluate the success of my staff by the results I see, personally and
professionally. If they are not showing progress than I can do one of two things. First, I could
shadow the staff member through the process and critique their skill. Second, I could restructure
