 Executive Summary

To say that technology has changed the world would be an understatement and
with the increasing population and demands for new products and services
successful organizations recognize the needs of people and fulfill them in every
way possible. It is important to address issues that are in our society.

In this report we have identified the market gap and proposed a product which
will facilitate the needs and demands of the people. Our product will serve a
market that has not being fully concentrated with similar products yet hence
giving us an advantage of gaining more customers.
Section 1 - Background and Information:
Every citizen should be treated equally under the law. There should be no
partiality among citizens. However globally the injustice and violence clearly
indicates how discrimination and hate runs through our veins. People are
deprived of their basic rights and are suffering because either they’re not aware
of their rights or their rights are not being given to them. We are responsible to
make it easy for people out there. Without the knowledge of human rights and
proper channels to exercise basic rights, this suffering cycle will never end.
People are unaware of their rights and are not able to identify that there is a de-
legitimization of human rights taking place. People who know their rights can
protect their rights and fight for them and lawyers can help in this process.
We want to create a space where people can become aware of their values and
protect them.
This hate, it is perpetrated day in and day out in our society. This hate is woven
into our societal structure and only by us addressing it and making aggressive
moves to eradicate it, will it ever improve.
Social media and technology is an integral part of our lives and we must use them
to create awareness and fight against corruption and injustice and generate real
change.
Section 2 : Business Idea – Legal Aid

The idea behind this application is simple. Lawyers will go and meet
customers/clients.
“Pro no publico is a Latin phrase for professional work undertaken voluntarily and
without payment. Unlike traditional volunteerism, it is a service that that uses the
specific skills of professionals to provide services to those who are unable to
afford them.”

Pro bono services are compulsory in many countries of the world however no
such thing is ever encouraged in Pakistan. LegalAid will be mutually beneficial to
both the victims and the lawyers community. Through this app lawyers will be
encouraged to provide pro bono services to deserving people.
A portal will be available where some lawyers will be willing to plead the cases of
those people who are unable to afford a lawyer and are deserving. In Pakistan
there is no right to council, no lawyer is provided by the state hence LegalAid
opens doors for those unfortunate people as well. They will be able to access the
vast number of lawyers who will be specialists in various areas of law.
In our app there will be different categories and our customers will be able
choose which lawyer they want. Different categories would include family,
corporate, immigration, property lawyers etc. It will benefit our lawyers as well,
creating opportunity for those who have no firms of their own or are in their
struggling phase.
Lawyers fee categories will be listed down as well so that everybody can afford it.
If let’s say, my range is ten thousand pkr, I’d know which lawyer to hire. Fresh
graduates can practice under the supervision of licensed senior lawyer in this way
fresh graduates are being helped as well.
Often lawyers exploit clients as well. They over charge their customer, give
excuses, or disappear hence for that a complaint ad on will be included. The idea
of this app is to save time and money and to make it accessible for everyone.
According to the National Coalition against Domestic Violence, domestic violence
is one of the most underreported crimes. If such an app exists, it might be easier
to take an action. The basic idea is to provide a platform where you can hire a
lawyer or report a crime by just one click.
At present companies mostly prefer to arbitrate in case of conflict, in order to
save time and money LegalAid can provide the list of arbitrators who companies
can approach. By doing this companies wont have a problem in locating an
arbitrator of their area of choice.
(Arbitrator : an independent person or body officially appointed to settle a
dispute)
To create awareness regarding human rights, any lawyer can hold live online
session where he/she can discuss human rights issues. The live online session
could be saved for the next 24 hours and can be viewed by everyone.
Above all LegalAid will enable you to make the payment without any hassle.
Revenue
A revenue model helps to answer an important question, “How do I make money?
Using different revenue streams and strategies an organization can generate cash
and make profit. To benefit from an investment, one needs to implement
strategies effectively and monitor the results. A strategic plan addresses the what
and why of activities. Implementation addresses the who, where, when and how.
Companies can gain competitive advantage if the implementation process is done
right. Hence along with the strategy the implementation plays a major role as
well.

Revenue Streams
Roughly 90% of our mobile time is spent using apps.
An adult spends an average of 3 hours, 35 minutes per day on mobile devices in
2018. The number of mobile hours are reported to increase in the future.
Apps are big businesses and gaming apps generate revenues in billions. Mostly
apps are free to download and the revenue is generated through in app
purchases. Apps are not restricted to mobile phones and many apps have
extended to desktop versions.

In app purchases:
The additional features or new content that is unlocked by paying. Many app
purchases occur in games when users are able to purchase additional features or
subscriptions by paying an additional amount of cash. LegalAid will have in app
purchases which will include the option of downloading court forms and
applications and samples of various complaints and contracts.

Ads
Ads is one of the most common way to generate revenue and the easiest and
cheapest way as well.
 i. Video ads: Video ads last for 15 to 30 seconds. Users receive in app
rewards for watching a video in full sometimes. The video ads should be
short and eye catchy. YouTube has enabled ads and is in agreement with
Google with 45/55 split. Google keeps 45 percent of all youtube advertising
and the remaining 55 percent.
ii. Native ads: An online native advertising that matches the form and
function of the platform upon which it appears. LegalAid will have native
ads which will be related to the app.
iii. Interstitial ads: According to Google interstitials ads are the best suited for
apps. They appear before or after the content page. Such ads cover the
entire screen and users can either click the ad or skip the ad to return to
the app. These ads have high impression rate to increase download and
revenue.

Fees :
Every time a client will make payment 25% of it will go to the developers of
LegalAid. Lawyers registration will be another source of income.
Download Charges:
LegalAid will be charged for 100 Pkr.

Limitations: The developer must take full responsibility for correct delivery of the
purchased items. User interaction and support will be required. Some users will
not be willing to pay for in app purchases and can leave a bad review. Users might
not want to purchase LegalAid since it has a minimal downloading fee. Some
lawyers would not want to register because they would have to give a cut to
LegalAid. Ad revenues can be low if the audience is small and users hate ads.

Future scope of the app: In the future we will hire more lawyers and take
different types of cases , commercial and coporate cases included. we will
position our app at global level.
Conclusion
Any marketing strategy can fail if it is not implemented and advertised properly .
Implementation turns strategies and plans into actions. There can be various
reasons for implementation pitfalls. Its important to identify the implementation
pitfalls and avoid them.
