PLASTIC IS VERY HARD AND LIGHT WEIGHT POLLUTED MATTER IN THE NATURE
WE CAN RECYCLE/REUSE THIS IN THE PAVER BLOCKS AND DECRESE THE
OVERALL COST.
PLASTIC –
1. PLASTIC IS HARMFUL MATERIAL
2. PLASTIC EFFECTING THE NATURE AND LIFE GLOBALLY
3. REUSE OF THE PLASTIC CAN REDUSE THE HARM IN NATURE AND IT’S ALSO
CHEAPER TO USE PLASTIC IN SOME CASES.
WHY PLASTIC –
1. DECREASE THE SETTELING TIME
2. LIGHT WEIGHT FOR TRANSPORTATION
3. CURING IS NOT IMPORTANT
4. EVEN DAMEGED PLASTIC CAN RECYCLEABLE AND REUSABLE
5. TO SAFEGUARD THE NATURE BY RECYCLING PLASTIC
OBJECTIVES-
1. COMPAIRING THE COST OF CEMENT CONCRETE AND PLASTIC PAVER
BLOCKS
2. COMPAIRING THE STRENGTH BETWEEN CEMENT CONCRETE AND PLASTIC
PAVER BLOCKS
3. CHECKING THE WATER RESSISTANCE OF PLASTIC BLOCKS
IN PREVIOUS ‘INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF ENGINEERING RESEARCH & TECHNOLOGY
(IJERT) ,ISSN: 2278-0181,VOL. 6 ISSUE 02, FEBRUARY-2017’ IS ALSO WORKED ON THE REUSE OF
PLASTIC WASTE IN PAVER BLOCKS
At present nearly 56 lakhs tones of plastic waste is produced in India per year and
Global plastic waste totals 4.9 billion tonnes(cosmos). The degradation rate of
plastic waste is also a very slow process. Hence the project is helpful in reducing
plastic waste in a useful way. In this project we have used plastic waste in different
proportions with, coarse aggregate and ceramic.
Not only in India but in other countries also, the amount of waste plastic is
increasing due to day to day uses. The waste plastic is produced every day,
therefore the demand
for more effective applications for recycling waste them is intense.
INTRODUCTION-
The aim of this project is to replace cement with plastic waste in paver block and
to reduce the cost of paver block when compared to that of convention concrete
paver blocks. Paver block paving is aesthetically attractive, functional, and cost
effective and requires little or no maintenance if correctly manufactured and
constructed. Natural resources are depleting worldwide at the same time the
generated wastes from the industry and residential area are increasing substantially.
Currently about 56 lakh tonnes of plastic waste dumped in India in a year. The
dumped waste pollutes the surrounding environment. As the result it affects both
human beings and animals in direct and indirect ways. Hence it necessary to
dispose the plastic waste properly as per the regulations provided by our
government. The replacement of plastic waste for cement provides potential
environmental as well as economic benefits.
Analysing the behaviour of quarry rock dust, recycled plastic, production of plastic
paver block from the solid waste a critical review of literature was taken up.The
physical and mechanical properties of materials used in Plastic Paver block were
investigated. For the test 5 cubes cube were cast for measuring Compressive
strength.
