In Germany, it used to be financially attractive photovoltaic modules,
to export all the solar power generated to the allblack – black anodised
grid. However, due to falling feed-in tariffs, frame and black film
on-site consumption of solar power is the
preferred option nowadays. Electricity costs per Rated output:

remuneration tariff for the same kilowatt hour
of solar power that is exported into the grid.

Therefore, the photovoltaic power generated

is first consumed on site or temporarily stored

a rated output of up to 285 Wp.

Vitocharge power storage systems

Photovoltaic systems can generate as much
power for a detached house as a four-person
family uses in a year. Vitocharge power
storage systems are the ideal complement to
the energy system. They enable power to be
supplied exactly when it is needed.

Heat pumps
Heat pumps are the first choice for those who
want to lower their heating bills and generate
heat in a more environmentally responsible
way. After all, the environment provides the
heat pump with the unlimited and free supply
of the energy it needs.

Mechanical ventilation systems

Controlled mechanical ventilation (CMV)
ensures a regular exchange of air and
constantly high air quality in a house or
apartment. This is necessary because
consumed air does not contain much oxygen,
but does carry substances such as carbon
dioxide and water vapour.

DHW cylinders
DHW convenience for every demand:
Viessmann offers plenty of choice with its
Vitocell range of cylinders. Here, you will find
exactly the right DHW cylinder to suit your
requirements – depending on water demand
and installation options.

Vitocharge and Vitocharge HS power
storage systems are the ideal supplement to
photovoltaic systems in detached houses.
Viessmann power storage systems increase
the on-site consumption of the energy you
generate and improve the efficiency of the
photovoltaic system.
The system will charge the power storage unit
when your home is not calling for electricity.
This power is used as required, for example to
run electrical appliances. If the power storage
unit is fully charged and no consumers are
connected, excess power will be exported to
the grid and remunerated accordingly.

Increase self-sufficiency
Vitocharge makes power available exactly
when it is needed. This increases on-site
power consumption and independence from
the power supply utility.

Self-generated power for heat pumps

and electric vehicles
A photovoltaic system, combined with a
heat pump and a Vitocharge power storage
unit, creates a particularly energy efficient
solution. The heat pump operates using the
power generated on site. This configuration
also makes it possible to charge an electric
vehicle using the power storage unit, which
contains electricity generated during the day.
The battery modules are designed to have
a service life of 20 years or 7000 charging
cycles (one charging cycle per day).

Mains substitution mode if the power fails

During a power failure, Vitocharge switches to Vitocharge –
modular storage system
mains substitution mode and delivers power
to the main electrical consumers in the home
(additional components are required).

Convenient DHW heating with Vitotherm

Vitotherm electric instantaneous water
heaters are a good choice for DHW heating.
These advanced, fully electronic appliances
are inexpensive to purchase, incur practically
no maintenance costs and only consume
electricity when hot water is needed.

In addition to saving energy and water, you

benefit from the ease of operation – the
appliances are adjustable to the degree
and maintain their temperature even under
unfavourable conditions. In addition, hot water
is available immediately due to the short pipe

Subsidy for replacing an

instantaneous water heater
Subsidies of up to €100 are available if you
replace an old instantaneous water heater with

Decentralised solutions for heating with

Vitoplanar
In newly built low energy and passive
houses, the energy demand for heating is
extremely low. Nevertheless, these houses
also have living areas where the installation

Intelligently combined heat generators
Electronic instantaneous water heaters and
electric area heating systems in conjunction
with heat pumps provide a sustainable
boost to system efficiency. A simultaneous
investment in decentralised DHW provision
from an instantaneous water heater and
individual area heaters can produce a
configuration that really pays off.
Take advantage of attractive
public subsidies
In the case of a decentralised DHW supply
with a Vitotherm instantaneous water heater,
the German government's market incentive
programme for renewable energies (MAP)
also offers attractive subsidies if a ground
source heat pump is installed for heating the
living space. Please note that the subsidy is
only granted if the Vitotherm instantaneous
water heater runs on electricity from
renewable energies.
