CONFIGURING THE INTEGRATION OF SAP HYBRIS COMMERCE, FINANCIAL SERVICES ACCELERATOR
WITH POLICY MANAGEMENT IN SAP S/4HANA
Your insurance company runs SAP Hybris Commerce, financial services accelerator as a customer
portal, where customers register to see the current data of their insurance contracts (policy or contract
inquiries). The data for the inquiry is loaded from a local data store to avoid frequent access to Policy
Management (FS-PM).
The inquiry displays the current policy/contract data. If there are multiple versions for a specified date,
only the latest version for the current date is displayed. The currently valid version, in other words
effective policy and all future versions of the policies/contracts in FS-PM are transferred to the local data
store.
When you release an application in FS-PM, the system triggers publishing of all contract versions that
are relevant for the user in SAP Hybris Commerce.
The connection from Policy Management in SAP S/4HANA to SAP Hybris Commerce, financial services
accelerator is enabled by an integration flow (iFlow) that is in the integration package SAP Hybris
Commerce, financial services accelerator integration with Policy Management in SAP
S/4HANA in SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI), available in SAP API Business Hub
(https://api.sap.com ).

2 TECHNICAL PREREQUISITES
The integration involves the following components. The following chapters for each of the components
describe the necessary configuration steps (from bottom to top).
SAP S/4HANA
Policy Management in SAP S/4HANA manages the whole life cycle of insurance contracts, starting
from the creation of an application, through policy issuance and ongoing contract maintenance, right
up to the termination of the contract.

CONFIGURING THE INTEGRATION OF SAP HYBRIS COMMERCE, FINANCIAL SERVICES ACCELERATOR
WITH POLICY MANAGEMENT IN SAP S/4HANA
For information about how to configure FS-PM, see Configuring Policy Management in SAP
S/4HANA.
The Business Partner component in SAP S/4HANA manages natural or legal persons with whom
business relationships are maintained. Insurance policies and contracts can relate to business
partners in their role as policy holder, insured persons, and premium payers.
For information about how to configure BP, see Configuring Business Partner in SAP S/4HANA.
SAP Cloud Connector links on-demand applications in SAP Cloud Platform and existing on-premise
systems. It combines an easy setup with a clear configuration of the systems that are exposed to
SAP Cloud Platform. In addition, you can control the resources available for the cloud applications in
these systems. Thus, you can benefit from your existing assets without exposing the whole internal
landscape.
For more general information, search for Cloud Connector in the documentation of SAP Cloud
Platform.
For information about how to configure the SAP Cloud Connector in this integration scenario, see
Configuring SAP Cloud Connector.
SAP Cloud Platform Integration facilitates the integration of business processes and data across on-
premise, back-end systems and SAP Cloud Platform Mobile Services for Development and Operations.

3.4.2.1 Prerequisite
14
CONFIGURING THE INTEGRATION OF SAP HYBRIS COMMERCE, FINANCIAL SERVICES ACCELERATOR
WITH POLICY MANAGEMENT IN SAP S/4HANA
You need to know the connection details (URL/Credentials) for the SAP Hybris Commerce system to do the
following:
Retrieve the OAuth token needed by the relevance check
Call the WebService for the contract/policy relevance check
Call the OData Service for the import policy service
Besides this, you need the name of the destinations within your SAP Cloud Platform Tenant pointing to the
following:
S/4HANA FS Policy Management system
S/4HANA Business Partner system.
This artifact is responsible for replicating policy data from FS-PM to FSA. The execution of this iFlow is
initiated by FS-PM whenever a policy change requires a notification in SAP Hybris Commerce. The iFlow first
checks if the changed policy is relevant for SAP Hybris Commerce by calling the appropriate Webservice. If
this is the case, it gathers all required information from FS-PM and BP to send a complete, updated version of
the policy to SAP Hybris Commerce by using the import policy OData service.
Therefore, multiple services and RFMs are called. Some calls depend on the results of previous calls. The
following table gives an overview of the services involved:

Before you configure the iFlow, deploy the user credentials within the security material of the SAP Cloud
Platform Integration. Click the Manage Security Material tile and add new user credentials, which are needed
for the OData Service call to import policies. You can use the name FSA_UPDATE_VERSION or any other
name. Enter the user and password:
The iFlow deployment requires a configuration with your individual network and product settings.
For general information about the configuration/externalization, see:

The RFC-user that executes the calls (see: RFM Destinations – Default Destination Configuration) needs full
authorization to access the required data in the S/4HANA system.
The user who passes the information to SAP Hybris Commerce (FSA_Hybris_Policy_Import), financial
services accelerator needs authorization to execute the oData-call.
This artifact defines the mapping of product definitions as defined in Policy Management in S/4HANA to the
product definition of SAP Hybris Commerce, financial services accelerator.
For example, product module IDs are mapped from FS-PM to FSA, but also values for payment frequencies.
In the example below, the contract status 002 in FS-PM is mapped to the value REVERSED in FSA:
18
CONFIGURING THE INTEGRATION OF SAP HYBRIS COMMERCE, FINANCIAL SERVICES ACCELERATOR
WITH POLICY MANAGEMENT IN SAP S/4HANA
If authorized values in FS-PM depend on the templates in which they are used, you need to add the template
ID as a prefix to the field for which you define the mapping.
The screenshot above shows that for PAYFRQ_CD there is also specialized mapping defined for template
PU80000S0000. This relates to the template PU80000S0000 defined in FS-PM’s In-Force Business
Configurator: Premium Category Recurring
During runtime, the iFlow checks whether specialized mapping information is available. If not, the general
mapping definition is used.
As the integration flow can be used to connect different FS-PM-releases with different FSA-releases, it is
possible to define the combination of versions and releases for which the mapping is valid. Therefore, the
AGENCY needs to be set accordingly:
The versions currently connected are defined as configurable properties in the iFlow:
FSPM_Version
FSA_Version
Therefore, the mapping defined in the screenshot is applied when the following applies:
FSPM_Version is set to 1809 (The system concatenates it to FSPM_<FSPM_Version>)
FSA_Version is set to 67 (The system concatenates it to FSA_<FSA_Version>)
For detailed information about the configuration of value mapping and a description of how to upload mapping
defined in CSV-files, see: https://help.sap.com/viewer/368c481cd6954bdfa5d0435479fd4eaf/Cloud/en-
