NodeB and M2000
Capacity and Performance
NodeB
If the hardware configurations are the same, there is no
capacity change in the NodeB after the upgrade from
RAN11.0 to RAN12.0
For the capacity changes brought about by hardware
addition and replacement, see Chapter 2
M2000
To match RAN12.0 and to support a maximum of 50,000
UMTS cells, the M2000 version must be iManager M2000-II
V200R010
iManager M2000-II V200R010 has the same capacity as the
earlier version

New Site Type: BTS3900L
As an indoor macro NodeB, the BTS3900L is used for
the indoor centralized installation and swapping of the
traditional indoor macro NodeB
The BTS3900L supports a maximum of 24 cells (2
carriers/40W WRFU), 1,536 CEs in the uplink, and
1,536 CEs in the downlink, and can be configured with
one, two, three, or six sectors. It also supports smooth
capacity expansion from 1 x 1 to 6 x 4 or 3 x 8 or 12 x

M2000 New Hardware (Cont.)
Before upgrading the M2000 to iManager M2000-II
V200R010, pay attention to the following:
The M2000 using the V880, F4800, Netra 20, Ultra series,
Blade series, or N240 server does not support iManager
M2000-II V200R010. Customers using these unsupported
servers need to purchase a new M2000 server

Man-Machine Interfaces
The Web LMT is used. The client does not require
additional software for installing the Web LMT. The RNC
can be remotely configured and maintained through the
Web LMT. The client software does not need to be
upgraded when the RNC software is upgraded, which
greatly increases maintenance efficiency of telecom
operators.
