This article is about a study of the use of marijuana by college students and
basically why would it would be a good idea to go ahead and legalize it. Also, when
they were to legalize in a certain state would the percentage of college students

commonly used drug in the U.S. It gives the percentages in which people are for
using weed for recreational use so that led two states too passing initiatives for
recreational use of marijuana for people 21 years and older. Talks about the
negative effects of if they were to legalize, would there be an increase of use and
violence. The support in legalizing marijuana probably comes from the people who

This article is about doctors and patients pushing to get marijuana legalized for
medical purposes. The physician is giving examples of patients who used the
marijuana and it helped them tremendously with what they were dealing with. This
is taken place in Canada so a percentage was taken of the Canadians who believed
that this type of use should be able to be legal. There has been scientific proof that
the use of the drug is effective which were also brought up in the court case. THC
which is the main ingredient in marijuana has effects that can treat a variety of
medical conditions. Although there is evidence that the drug is useful and helpful
the government still argues the fact because they don’t know about any of the
dangers that could come about whole using the drug. Also, it was argued about that
some of the penalties for marijuana should be eliminated due to the amount of
court time and police time is taken up for arrest. Lastly it talks about how the point
of recreational use wasn’t really talked and the physician thinks that the drug is
addictive but not nearly as addictive as other drugs like heroin or cocaine.
