Digital and information literateness were strengthened by precarious discerning and assessment

institutions’ atmosphere. CNU-Balamban Campus as an institution of higher education is intended
to equip students following a recommended curriculum and responding to the burdens of a job for
the graduates to find the right track. This assessment of the alumni’s digital literacy abilities was
conducted to determine their readiness when they join the hospitality and tourism industry sector.
Data were collected from 117 graduates of Bachelor of Tourism Management Program. A digital
literacy skills list was used to assess the level of confidence based on its identified range. On the
skills of discovering information, the graduates favoured using internet as the way to access
information. Using information skills in varied Media were also of highest interest among them.
Using a Pearson r outcome, it revealed a significant relationship between the levels of digital
literacy skills of the graduates. It was shown that as the level of digital literacy skills increases, the
digital literacy skills correspondingly increases. It was apparent that the digital literacy skills of
the graduates were significantly related to the level of confidence to find and consume information.
Surely what goes beyond this is climbing to a wider scope of endeavour, thus enabling to involve
message, partnership and cooperation, social alertness in the cyber environment, having
knowledge on e-safety and the making of brand new knowledge on time in today’s Generation.
