Gramática. Las formas this dis] ( este) that dat] (aquel). This se refiere a algo que
se encuentra cercano y that se refiere a un objeto que se encuentra más distante. El

plural de this es these [diis] y el de that es those [dous].

Nota: En inglés existe una forma muy propia de dicho idioma para indicar posesión, la
cual consiste en añadir al sustantivo un apóstrofe seguido de una s ('s). Ejemplos:

Gramática. How much? [jau moch] Cuánto/a? se utiliza para preguntar precios y
también para preguntar por cantidades no contables.

23-Describir lugares.
Uso de How many? [jau méni] ¿Cuántos? How many se utiliza para preguntar acerca
de cantidades contables en plural. Ej.
Plural de sustantivos:
En inglés el plural de los sustantivos generalmente se forma añadiendo -s. Ej. book
[buk ] (libro) books [buks] (libros). No obstante existen otras formas para el plural.
Ej. Los sustantivos terminados en ch suave, sh, s, ss, x y z toman -es para el plural:
Los sustantivos que terminan en -o toman, generalmente, -es para formar el plural.
Ejemplos:
Nota: En algunos casos para indicar el singular de algunos de los sustantivos arriba
señados, se puede utilizar la palabra "piece". Ej. A piece of news. (Una noticia.)
Los sustantivos people, police, public, aunque singulares en forma, siempre se usan
con un verbo en plural, así decimos:
