Kites were the source of my inspiration.

When talking about Shakrain festival of old Dhaka, the

first thing that comes in my mind is kites. Shakrain Festival is one of the oldest annual festivals of
Bangladesh. As part of the celebration, colourful kites are flown high from the rooftops around the
area in the afternoon. That is why I took Kites as my inspiration.

The asymmetric style of traditional kites is very colourful. The fabrics will be silk and cotton to
make dresses comfortable to the climate of Bangladesh. These dresses will be a suitable fitting for
many festivals of my country.
