1. INTRODUCTION

1.1 PURPOSE

The main purpose of this project is to provide a software for maintaining student information. It helps for the
students for view their information in the software application.

1.2 PROBLEMS IN THE EXISTING SYSTEM

There is no separate existing system like these for this Student information system.

1.3 SOLUTIONS FOR THESE PROBLEMS

The software application Student information system is the solution for all these problems.

1.4 INTENDED AUDIENCE

Students who are studying in this campus are the intended audience.

1.5 PROJECT SCOPE

Student is not able to see their marks, registered courses, and which course they have to register for their
semester. In this we have introduced a software application to see their details on this application. The
software application is controlled by Admin. This admin updates the information of the students given by
them.

1.7 DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION CONSTRAINTS

Design constrains

Design mechanisms are limited to the capabilities of object oriented paradigm and derby as database.

The user interface is viewable on a screen of resolution 1024 x 628 or larger.

Safety and security constraints

There is valuable information of the students. They have to keep their information safely. In this application
we provide a software that each and every student have their Ids and passwords to keep their information
safely. The students are able to login when the Id and password are correct. There is also admin login for this
software application. So no fake data can be added.

This software requires internet to see the information like marks etc. for the students. For admin also require
the internet for updating the details which are given by the students.

SECRUITY REQUIREMENTS Admin have to enter the valid username and

password. So that no other can add or delete fake
details or information.

AVAILABILITY REQUIREMENTS Internet is required to run this software.

PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS It performs in any mobile or windows pc connected to

internet.
