1. PURPOSE

The purpose of this Work Method Statement for RCC Dismantling work of Concrete is to outline and
describe in detail the procedure such as setting and layout plan on actual location, erection of Barication
other related activity. Inform all concerned supervisor including workers the value and importance of this
activity prior to implementation. This activity should be performed with strict compliance and
implementation of Safety Requirements & Procedure and project specifications to complete the
Dismantling work both for concrete works.

 JCB
 Hand dismantling machine
 Tractor with trailer

3. STEP OF WORKS

3.1 Preliminary preparation

1) Clean the surface thoroughly and remove any dust, contaminated materials substances that may
hamper the work.

2) Form work and other obstruction shall be removed from the surface of the RCC base.

3) RCC concrete structure prior to survey markings and layout.

4) Complete barrication to be done all over the dismantling area.

5) Get the clearance from the concerned after taking joint quantity measurement.

6) Use of JCB to excavate any further surrounding the concrete that needs to be dismantled.

7) Use of hand breaker & start the RCC dismantling and JCB for Plinth PCC dismantling.

8) Use of hand breaker & start the RCC column breaking upto top of the footing.

9) Employ Semi Skilled labors to segregate the concrete.

10) Use of tractor to shift the material within site premises.

11) Hire dumpers to shift the material out of site

12) Use appropriate and physical good condition hand/machine tools only. Carefully loosen the floor
ready for dismantling.

13) Disconnecting existing grade slab PCC & cutting for footing with saw cutting (Dismantle cutting
machine ) to avoid vibrations passing/ cracks in adjacent floor.

14) To avoid unnecessary damage to the other RCC structure the stresses induced at all stages of handling
and storage to be proper and safely related to the strength of the particular components.

15) In addition to the identification marks, where appropriate the stones to be marked sufficiently to
identify their orientation.

16) Start dismantling work by using above machineries.

17) If require scaffolding will be provided.
