Rationale

In my previous unit I think one of my biggest strengths is my editing, I discovered a lot of new things
while learning this unit, I studied a lot about the different colour setting in Premier Pro, I discovered
things such as the Lumietri Colour settings, I have plastered the mention of these settings all over my
evaluations, which is another one of my strengths, my teachers tell me that this evaluation was the
most in depth and detailed out of any of my evaluations previous, which I agree with, I practices my
evaluation skills for a long time, and I’m really glad I am getting recognition for it.

The skills I need to make this production work are concentration, willpower, and organisation, some
major things I struggle with. I feel like I have willpower in the bag because of how persistent I can be
with project deadlines and workload management. Which are some other skill I have. Another skill I
have aired is Scriptwriting, from my radio drama unit to my first short film unit, script writing clicked
with me, I really good establish an amazing narrative and figure out how my story shall go out.

Project Concept

My new project concept shall be a short film, I am going to be doing a short film because of the
success of my first short film project, SaveGame, I feel like I succeeded well with that unit because I
put a lot of effort into the research and planning, and even more effort into the filming and editing.
Looking back ta that unit, there is a lot of things I can bring over to this unit, for example; the editing
techniques I used for gunshots, I still know how to use do this, and if the short film I am making
requires firearm, I shall use this skills.

I also think that Unit 6 was impressive as well, I did very well with the production quality and
research for that unit as well because of the time I put into it. And with the difficulty of a group out
of the way, all of the work in left in my hands and I think I can get this done quickly and effectively. I
think I can demonstrate a lot of skills from some good camerawork, for example, I have been
practising a lot of camera shots from my previous units, some of these include, a 360* shot, low
angle, tracking shot, and most importantly a first person shot, I practised that in unit 5 and it has
proven to be very useful.

The Resources I need for my project are cameras, tripods, actors, props, and costumes. The props I
will need will most likely be fake weaponry, to properly get the stereotypical simulation of a mafia
into the scene. For locations, I shall use just regular old houses, because of the situation and
complexity of my story, I feel like having in a regular semi-detached house will bring my characters
down to earth a little bit, even though they are a mafia, they have a well acquainted house that
viewers ca understand and grasp. Actors are an easy pick, I have based my characters off people I
know, and knowing them... They shall be willing to act for me. I shall need to research into the
evolution and crime and also how mafia before, so I can pull off an authentic storyline.

Evaluations
For Evaluation purposes, I shall be conducting Video logs of every week, and upload them to me
weebly on the Weekly blog page. In these vlogs I shall be discussing what has happened in the week,
what work I have done, and what I shall be doing in the future. I also shall be gathering feedback
from peers and teachers and will be talking about them in my vlogs as well.
