Introduction
This manual is written to inform current and future cadets about what the contents are to achieve
your DD license in SAPA. To get your DD license you need go through a certain amount of
phases/tests. First of all you start with a DD lesson where the instructor explains you everything you
need to know to succeed in your test of becoming a cadet with DD license. After your lesson you
have 2 days to study some theory like codes and rules, what is more then enough time. Then your
test actually begins.

*The goal of this manual is to give cadets a simple overview of what to expect and what is to be
expected from them.
Briefing
When the DD instructor has found time to give you your lesson, he will start by giving you a briefing.

In the briefing you will find information regarding the role of the driver and co-driver. The driver and
co-driver both have different roles.

The driver:

-Responsible of the car’s state

-Responsible of the health of his partner
-The driver NEVER leaves the car in a pursuit or arrest (when using the callsign (adam (A))
-Responsible for the binds to make criminals aware of the pursuit.
-Proper use of the warning lights!

Co-driver:

-Radio duty, report incidents, status reports, going on/off duty, ETA towards Turfs, BR’s etc… ( there
will be a complete list of codes in the next step/phase)
-Roleplay with the fugitive/victim/civilian

*Tip, practise /me and /do

**Tip /me is for actions of yourself and /do is for what happens in your surroundings. /do can also be
used as creating a chat with the control room or dispatcher.
Radio protocol
In the briefing the role of the co-driver is explained. As you have seen the co-driver is the person who
informs the dispatcher/control room of the situation and status. Here you can find the codes that can
be used to inform. It is important to know the 10 codes (especially from 10-1 till 10-10)

Roleplay driving
In this last and final part before your test you will have to learn how to drive like we all do in real-life.
In this case you will need to learn the following:

-Warning lights (left and right as well as the general warninglights)

-Speed limits, inside cities 50-60, outside cities 80-90, highway 100-120
-Traffic from the right side always goes first!
-We always drive on the right side of the road!

As an additional bonus, you get too see the most suitable roads towards the drive from “The bank to
bank test”. Memorise this well and practise it!

Summary
The test starts with the CO-Driver role, and the cadet should report via the radio. ( starting/ending
duty, responding to back up call, traffic stop). After the first test the roleplay driving section starts,
the cadet gets a destination where he should go. If the cadet uses warning lights, uses the correct
speed and with less than 20% damage reaches the destination he succeeded. At the end you return
to SAPA and you will get informed on how you performed.

It is as simple as that!

Hope this helped you in anyway and made everything a bit simpler!
Appendix: testing procedure regarding the forums
PART 1 : briefing about general informations and duties

radio usage as co-driver ( basic codes and proper use )

How to report going on duty as co-driver + examples

How to report incidents as co-driver + examples( HRs, Turfs, BRs and possible BRs, Car pursuits and etc...)

What should be and should not be done when driving a car.

Understanding that the driver is responsible about the car's state and his partner's life.

PART 2 : practicing the co-driver role.

Here the instructor will drive while the cadet should handle the radio.
The instructor will show him what he needs to do and how to do it based on the co-driver role which is
stated in the DD guidelines ( What, >How and When to use the radio etc...)

PART 3 : practicing the driver role.

The cadet will drive on a normal patrol but will not leave the car or engage chases, just drive around the
city while the instructor handles the radio, at the same time the instructor will tell the cadet what he
should do and not do, and correct his movements/mistakes based on the driver duties which are stated in
the guidelines.
The car shape should be kept at 80% - 100% at all times, if below that then go repair it.
At the end, the instructor will show the cadet the bank to bank short roads, SAPA base to LV bank to SF
bank to LS bank. The cadet will get a chance to drive himself to memorize to roads, he can practice them
later on his own or with a PVT.

Final test : Instuctor will NOT correct mistakes or help the cadet during the test, he will let the him do
everything on his own and will decide if the cadet passed or failed.

Instructor will drive while the cadet handles the radio, he got exactly 15minuts the show all what he
learned during the first lessons about the co-driver role.

Switching roles, cadet will drive on a normal patrol while instructor handles the radio and takes notes
about the cadet's skills. You may engage car and foot pursuits only if there is ONLY One suspect to lower
your chances to get killed during the test.

Good luck.

Failure?
1st time -> Retest after 2 days
2nd time -> Has to repeat the lesson all over again
