Atlas, the Sky-Holder

Denizen of the Breath Aspect

Atlas was the Greek titan of astronomy and navigation. During their battle against the
Olympians, he was their leader in battle. After they lost, Atlas was condemned to stand on the
western side of the world and hold up the sky for all eternity. He was apparently turned to stone
by Perseus using Medusa’s severed head after he tried to attack him and became a mountain
range in northwest Africa. However, he was apparently still god-flesh and ichor when he met
Hercules (a descendant of Perseus) and tried to trick him into holding up the sky for him for
eternity, he failed, of course, and continued to hold up the sky.

The Quest
Land of Collapses: The Denizen Atlas holds up the sky in this land, preventing calamity from
befalling upon it. Or at least, he used to. Now he has gone missing. The very skies are falling,
bits and pieces raining down here and there, sometimes crushing villages. With the Player’s
arrival, their home would serve as a sort of makeshift support beam, but this is temporary at
best, and until something is done, things are only going to get worse. The Player has to either
confront Atlas and get him back to work or find another solution to this problem.

Land of Disorientation: The Denizen has used his powers over navigation (he has those
right?, right) to make everyone lost. Maps are completely wrong. Compasses point to a random
direction every ten seconds, but never west. And the stars seem to be moving around way too
much. Trying to spot other Lands would also be problematic, as their images are often blurred
so as to be unrecognizable or show up in places where they actually aren't. The Player has to
find their way to Atlas’ Palace while in a land where left and right are often mistaken for one
another.

The Battle
While Atlas may seem like an imposing Denizen at first, he is quite large, even by Denizen
standards, he is actually one of the less difficult Denizens to defeat. His attacks are simple
smashes and throws, their danger dwells largely within their sheer magnitude and damage, so it
is recommended that the Player keeps moving. He may try using his navigation powers (the
ones that totally exist) to disorient the Player, which would be bad, so it is suggested that they
procure some way to either cure or completely avoid this effect before facing him.
The Prize
Map of Eternity - A scroll that shows a frighteningly accurate depiction of any Universe it is in. It
is quite large, as big as a phone book in fact, though the majority of its bulk seems to be stuck in
a pocket dimension. The map can show any location within the bounds of a Universe or
Incipisphere and even shows the quickest route from the Player’s location to their destination,
though this is more often than not, a perilous path to take. No location or passage is exempt
from the map, though a sufficiently potent Void Player may create an exception, and the map
may even show routes to other Universes, though only up to a gateway into it, the other side is
completely beyond the map's ability to see into until it actually enters. Then the map will show a
depiction of the Universe it is in instead of the one it was from.

Strife Portfolio

Titanic Size
Atlas is the Titan who holds up the sky in greek myth, for he is as tall as any mountain. Atlas is a
giant even by Denizen standards, capable of touching the upper reaches of the Land without
stretching, this has its benefits and drawbacks. He gains increased physical damage and
strength and all of his attacks are basically small AoE attacks, he is also unlikely to suffer from a
target being out of range, on the other hand, he basically can’t dodge any attacks, which gain a
bonus in actually hitting him.

Locate
As the Titan of navigation, Atlas knows the way to any locale in existence. This ability allows
Atlas to find the quickest route to any location he desires and to imprint the knowledge of said
path unto others.

Disorient
What Atlas gives,he can also take away. The target of this ability is inflicted with the Disoriented
debuff, which penalizes their ability to hit targets and move around, often making them lost and
making their attacks miss completely.

Treasure Hoard

Map of Eternity
A scroll about the size of a phonebook, the majority of it’s mass seems to be stored in a pocket
dimension.
Cosmic Effigy - The objects shows an incredibly accurate depiction of the Universe it is in, no
location is exempt from it’s knowledge, though sufficiently potent Void Player are an exeption to
this.
Expeditious Path - The object shows the user the quickest route to any destination in the
Universe, though this might be a most perilous path indeed. No passage is exempt from it
without the intervention of a sufficiently powerful Player

Atlas’ Compass
A rusted old compass. It still seems to be working, though it never seems to point Northward.
Path of the Seeker - The object points the object the user desires the most, be it treasure, an
artifact, or a person. It can only detect material desires however, so goals such a new power are
beyond its power to locate.

Misc. Items
Atlas hoards maps of all kinds within his Palace, from the simplest of stone tablets, to a complex
model of the solar system, to a holographic mapping device. Atlas has it all, and by looking
through his hoard, the Player can find a map that could lead to anything.
