OVERVIEW
In March 2017, UPH Medan Business School would like to challenge passionate
High School and University Students around Indonesia particularly North Sumatra to
expand their view about business through an event called UPH Medan Business Week
2017.
As UPH Medan Business School is always emphasizing about how important and
crucial for young generations to know about managing a business, this event will become
a platform that will encourage High School and University Students to gather around
not just for pitching their ideas against each other but also expanding their network to
increase their opportunity if they want to start up or looking for a partner to start a
business with.
Based upon the participants of UPH Medan in various events conducted last year
such as UPH Medan E-Week and UPH Medan Ambassadors, most of them have given ver y
positive feed-back after attending our event. Therefore, we are ver y delighted to con-
duct UPH Medan Business Week 2017 as our newest event with more interesting activi-
ties and unpredictable excitement to the participants who will be joining.
The main activities that will be included in the ver y first “Business Week” event
during three days in the first week of March 2017 are Business Challenge or competition
for both high school and university students, a business photo exhibition for charity
purposes, and a business networking night with some business practitioners from vari-
ous industries. Other than those mentioned activities, we will also conduct business
talks by distinguished guest speakers and some other performances by our students
during the networking night.
Sponsoring UPH Medan Business Week 2017 will be a platform for you to be con-
nected to a unique opportunity in building brand awareness and show your company’s
support of an important cause: Education and Encouragement for the growth of Business
in Indonesia! You will also have a chance to create meaningful promotions, strengthen
and build stronger relationship between your company with the community.
The real value of this event is not only about the promotion itself but what it rep-
resents an awareness of UPH Medan Business School in enlightening and expanding the
view of business to all participants which may be the theme of our event to create “A
Realm of Opportunities” for them to shed a new light in their prospective business field.

This event is conducted to target High School and
University students from various schools and universi-
ties to compete in competitions which are hosted by
UPH Medan. Students will participate in teams where
each team will consist of 3 members.

This event will be conducted during three consecutive


days in the whole Business Week event. This event will
encourage creative photographers to submit pictures
with the theme of ‘Business’ and have them compete
based on the pictures that they have taken to be the
winner of the event. On the last day of exhibition,
visitors can also purchase the displayed picture, in
which part of the profit will be intended for charity
purposes

This session intends to create a casual atmosphere full


of lively discussions among participants and distin-
guished guest speakers as a way to broaden their mind-
set regarding business.

Participants will have a chance to receive some insights


by having a private talk or a nice chat over dinner and
introduce themselves to some of the distinguished
business practitioners from various industries.

SPONSORSHIP PROVISION

1. All of the sponsorship package will be on a ‘first come, first serve’ basis.
Sponsorship package is considered valid after payment of a 50% deposit is received.
2. A purchased sponsorship must be accompanied by a signed ‘Sponsorship Agreement’
and ‘Sponsorship Provision’.
3. The deposit payment must be received by the committee before 6th February 2016 and
the bank receipt must be sent to us via email (businessweek.uphm@gmail.com).
4. The remaining payment must be received by 10th February 2017.
5. The sponsorship agreement may be altered if both parties agree and meet the
compensation scheme that is written on the sponsorship agreement letter.
6. In the event of cancellation, all payments are not refundable.
7. And other deal that is not included on this agreement may be negotiated further
between the two parties.
