The teacher divides the class into groups of 3. Each group receives a copy of a dialogue.
The teacher asks questions to verify that everyone has understood the dialogue, for example:
Who are the two people on a date?
What does Marcy order?
What does Paul order? Is the meal expensive?
How much did they pay for everything?
Next, the dialogue with two students is modeled and they explain important points of pronunciation, for example:
the voice rises at the end of each YES / NO Questions and the use of I would Contractions like I'd.
Students share their ideas with the class. The teacher gives feedback on what has been done in this activity.
Each group reads their dialogue aloud. The teacher monitors and helps students with pronunciation, especially
with intonation.
The teacher makes the students formulate a new dialogue similar to the one worked
Students relate what happens in the story in the form of a dialogue.
The teacher motivates his students to be creative.
Some volunteers present their dialogues in front of the class.
