 Check old Link

Check old link parameter with SF6 file (Review APPENDIX B) most important
parameter:

1) RSL and Tx power

2) Inventory
3) Tx and Rx frequency

4) Link performance

 E1 survey
Trace each E1 cable if these cable direct to other sites you can check it with End

3. Check Delivery
 AMM (Access Module Magazine)

 Power Cable and Connector

There are two Power connector and Two Power cable

MLU Project
| P a g e 15

 NPU3 C and RMM

NPU (Node Processor Unit)

RMM (Removable Memory Module)
NPU3 C Specification:
 One Ethernet Traffic port
 One Ethernet Traffic port/LAN
 One port support E1 from TR
4A-4D
 two user output

NPU: can support 4E1 and it responsible main function, Contain internal memory to save
main parameter for Magazine and Routing table

RMM: it takes copy from NPU internal memory

RMM

 ETU2 B or LTU 12/1 (Optional)

rmm
LTU 12/1: use to support three
group and each group support four
E1
There are Traffic cable uses to distribute these E1 on ICF (Interconnection
Frame), from ICF to RBS (Radio Base station)

ETU: use to support Packet

data

ETU (Ethernet Terminal Unit)

MLU Project
| P a g e 16

 LTU 32/1 (Optional)

LTU 32/1: use to support eight group and each group support four E1
There are Traffic cable uses to distribute these E1 on ICF (Interconnection
Frame), from ICF to RBS (Radio Base station)

NOTE: at least you should have on LTU card (LTU 12/1 or LTU32/1) for physical E1 dropping

 MMU 2H

MMU2 H (Modem Unit):

It support maximum air interface traffic capacity of up to 406 Mbps

MMU2 H supports up to 512 QAM modulations. 256 QAM with channel spacing
56 MHZ support 80 E1

This mean MMU work with

+24V or -48 V, so TN6P can
work with +24 V or -48 V

This mean MMU work with Volt -48 V

So TN6P need power source -48V only

 Two PFU3 B

PFU (Power Filter Unit): it distributes primary

power to the plug-in units in the AMM through
the backplane.
There are two PFU, one is redundant for other

MLU Project
| P a g e 17

 FAU (FAN Unit)

used for Cooling

 Earth cable and washer and Screw& Nut 13mmØ

 Dummy

 ICF and Traffic cable

*eight traffic cable (if LTU32/1)

NOTE: main Component to collect TN6P:

1. NPU
2. LTU (LTU12/1 or LTU32/1
3. MMU
4. FAN + Two PFU3B+ Power cable
5. ICF + traffic cable

MLU Project
| P a g e 31

Print screen show that magazine managed:

9. Drop E1 Physical

E1 cable

10. Call BEB to Add Node and E1dropping

Call BEB and tell him that you want add Magazine to management and tell him IP,
then tell him E1 dropping as example (if LTU 32/1 Pos6) "dropping at LTU 32/1
pos6, 1A for site, 1B for site Expansion, 1C for Co, 1D and 2A for G)
*site it mean GSM Band 900MHZ
*Co it means GSM 1800
