Spread the Warmth. When Mr. Busch Ann’s Adventures: Ann Goulian, 11
and his students heard that the graphics You’re Tired: Erin Secosky, 10
program was at risk of being turned into an
Adobe Certification course, a change that
would take away much of the freedom that
makes Enloe Graphics so unique, they did

s not sit idly by. Instead, they took action by

putting on Enloe’s first ever sock drive to

E bring attention to the program, and help

the community. They were hoping to prove

R to the powers that be that they are doing

important things with their graphics talent

v that they could not do with the program

change. The students chose a name for the

i drive, made a logo, posters, social media

accounts, and videos to promote it to the

c school. They collaborated with Key Club to

raise almost 700 pairs of socks, half of
e which went to Urban Ministries and the
other half went to Enloe’s own students.
Apparel Angels. Juniors Ashley West Carson Hart (12)
and Ava McDonald are in Apparel II and
look forward to doing an Extended Study

m for Apparel next year. When the two best

friends learned that they were going to

i Haiti during summer 2019 they drew some

inspiration from a project done at

n Broughton and combined their love for

apparel with their love for service. With

d Mrs. Polis the two girls lead the classes

fourth quarter project where the girls made

e dresses for Canaan Orphanage, a site they

will be visiting during their trip this

d summer. Conveniently, the project also

incorporated a required part of the
curriculum: making a circle skirt. The
fabric for the dresses was donated by
students and the school and in the end the
class was able to make around 30 dresses.
Ava and Ashley are so excited to deliver the
Ashley West (11), Ava McDonald (11) dresses in person this summer!

Career & Technical Education

DECA WInners Hosa board
Learning through instruction. Every CTE class is different, but there Field trips for days. Because CTE stands for Career and
are some definite similarities between all of them. In any CTE class you go Technological Education, the best way to learn is through
into there will not be textbooks, or powerpoints, but rather scratch paper, hands on experience. In picture #1, four students pose
screen printing ink, or Apple computers. CTE is meant to be hands on with together during a week long HOSA convention that took
direction coming directly from the teacher. Below Ms. Martinez helps a place in Houston over the summer. In December, the
