Position: Fire & Safety Inspector
JOB SITE: OGDCL House and Jand Oil Field
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

● To identify and illuminate potential hazard.


● Training for the workers in their local languages
● Frequently meetings with client there
● Conduct weekly tool box meeting at the job site
● Color code system implementation monthly / quarterly electrical safety precautions.
● Monitor all workers to ensure proper safety outfit, such as safety belt, safety shoes, and helmet.
● Monitor high risk activities such as, confined space entry, lifting, demolition, welding, Scaffold erection,
excavation etc.
● Perform full time and continuing safety coverage/monitoring at work sites to ensure acceptable compliance of
work force to support Zero Incident Goal. Report to and assist immediate superior in the overall implementation
of the client approved project-specific Safety and Loss Prevention and related activities.
● Undertake daily inspection tours in areas of responsibility to ensure implementation of, and adherence to the
procedures set out by company HSE Management System, and project HSE Plan and Procedures.
● Carry out investigations into causes of HSE related incidents and prepares reports with proposals for remedial
actions.
● Monitor and ensure compliance of field workforce with the work permit system, check observance and
enforcement supervisors/foremen of job safety analysis on non-routine/high risk activities i.e., confined space
entry, deep excavation, critical lift, man-basket operation, etc.
● Keep an organized and up-to date record of all recordable injuries, fires, motor vehicles accidents (MVAs),
property damage, near misses, first aid cases and all other safety records or may be required by the client.
● Assist/conduct documented in-house pre-site deployment safety orientation or induction course with the new
employee and returnees upon their arrival at the project site before they assigned of any task or deployed to their
respective work assignment.
● Exhaust every effort and means possible to raise the level of safety education and awareness of employees and
subcontracted employees, through awareness enhancing schemes such as installing job-specific pictographs,
safety posters/banners, bulletins on the project site, conducting or organizing work specific safety training and
similar means.
● Represent in all matters pertaining to safety and security, health and environmental issues before client and
perform all related coordination activities.
● Foster with the company an understanding that injury prevention and damage control are integral part of
business and operational efficiency.
● Stop the job whenever unsafe acts or conditions are noted or in the absence of required safe work permits/safe
work plans.
● Conduct “tool box” meeting and/or briefing from time to time to remind workers of the importance of safety and
pinpoint specific risks and possible accident that may occur on a particular work activity.
● Monitoring behavior of people and provide coaching to changing attitude positively towards safety and instill
“think before acting” and “value of human life”.
● Performs variety of administrative/technical tasks in the direct support of HSE program including Occupational
Health, mishap prevention, personal protective equipment, inspections, and training.
● Interface with HSE Officers to provide supervision, coordination, technical assistance and problem solving advice
in the course of their inspection duties.
● Coordinate and monitor all project HSE activities to ensure agreed, Health, HSE and Environmental standards
are fully implemented and properly followed.
● It is the direct responsibility of a Safety Officer to bring to the attention to the site Safety Manager, any constraint
that hampers effective site implementation of the safety program, client’s requirement and corporate objectives.
