Introduction
Advent-Health formerly known as Adventist Health System (AHS) was founded in 1973 and it is
headquartered in Altamonte Springs, Florida. AHS is a faith-based and a non-profit health care
system which also operates satellite facilities across other nine states in United States. Currently,
Advent-Health represents one of the largest non-profit establishments made by protestant health
care providers. As of the start of this year (2019), the hospital has more than 45 hospital
campuses and certified beds which were in excess of 8,200 across the states it has established
healthcare facilities. AHS houses facilities such as urgent care centers, home health, hospice
agencies, and skilled nursing facilities (AHS, 2019). Advent-Health employs latest high-tech
innovations and clinical research to serves more than 5 million patients who visit their facilities
annually. For instance, Advent-Health received the HealthCare’s Most Wired award in 2013 &
2014 as it had met the required IT threshold in its four main areas (infrastructure, business &
administrative management, quality and safety measures, and clinical integration). Further, AHS
received Gallup Great Workplace Award for 5 consecutive years (2011-2015) for having an

cannot be able to raise hospital bills (AHU, 2019). In addition, Advent-Health also provides grants
and charities to different community based programs aimed at benefiting the most vulnerable in
the society. For example, Advent-Health sent 273 pallets of aid to Puerto Rico after a devastating

of quality assurance are well addressed and that qualified staffs are deployed in offering different
