 ACT. 2: WRITING ASSIGNMENT

Part 1: After checking the Unit 1 Topic 2: Modal Verbs, write 1 sentence using each
one of the following modal verbs regarding your role as citizen: can – could – may -
must - should - ought to – have to – need to- had better - would.

 I can participate in the implementation of the school garden

 He could finish his studies in the UNAD
 You should attend the laboratories of the University
 I have to read an investigation about violence in the country
 She had better go to the doctor to avoid a risk disease
 They would study for the final exam
 You ought to know how to make chocolate
 They must write a report on technology
 They may help you with your work

According to the topic Past Progressive (Unit 1: Topic 3), each student must write 5
things you were doing last night and 5 things you were not

 I was working in the office (Yo estaba trabajando en la oficina)

 I was watching action movies (Yo estaba mirando películas de acción)
 I was reading a story to my niece (Yo estaba leyendo una historia a mi sobrina)
 I was preparing chocolate cookies (Yo estaba preparando galletas de chocolate)
 I was printing some pictures (Yo estaba imprimiendo unas fotografías)

 I was not listening to music (Yo no estaba escuchando música)

 I was not playing basketball (Yo no estaba jugando baloncesto)
 I was not reading a book (Yo no estaba leyendo un libro)
 I was not eating in a restaurant (Yo no estaba comiendo en un restaurante)

 Part 3: Write a text about the activities you will do on a three-day trip next vacations.
Use at least two pictures related to your journey. You should write three paragraphs:

 Paragraph 1: First day

 Paragraph 2: Second day
 Paragraph 3: Third day
Each paragraph must have minimum four (4) sentences and maximum six (6) sentences.
It must have a title, from 220 words to 250 and it is necessary to use and highlight the

CITY OF THE ETERNAL SPRING

First day:

Next month we will go to Medellin with some

friends, we can know the recommended
tourist sites. Upon arrival, we should look for
a hotel in the city. We can look for a typical
food restaurant near the hotel. At night we
should go to the cinema to watch a horror
movie, and at the end, we can go dancing at
the disco.

Second day

We can sleep late at the hotel. We will go to

know the peñol of Medellín and we can climb
the whole rock to look at the beautiful view.
In this place, we must buy details to take our
relatives. We could have lunch in Guatepé
and return in the evening.
Third day

In the morning, we will go to see the

botero park, we could take many
pictures to show our friends. In the
afternoon, we will travel by metro,
we can go around the city. We
should go up in metro cable and we
can enjoy the view of the city. At the
end, we must return to the hotel.
