I have decided to rate students from 1-10.

One being the lowest and ten being the

highest. I have also added specific notes of each student.

Evaluation:

#1 Khoa 3.5
+ Can communicate very well. He can get his main point across and I could understand
the main idea of what he was explaining to me.
+ Is able to ask questions to create a simple conversation
+ Can tell a story about his life but with very little details
- Needs to improve his vocabulary
.- Poor pronunciation
- With me speaking at a 30% level of speed and clear pronunciation, he only understood
about 10% of the story. Needs lots of listening practice.

#2 Ninh 1.0

- Very hard time expressing himself

- Poor pronunciation
- (He seemed very nervous and maybe a little shy)
- Could barely understand me. I spoke at 10% and had to repeat myself every time.

#3 Tuan 1.5

+ Can understand basic questions

- Difficulty expressing himself
- Low pronunciation
- The only question he could ask me was, "How are you?"
- Could not understand almost anything I was saying to him. Even with body language.

#4 Thuy 0.5
- Could not tell me what his job title is
- He does not know what a bottle is
- Does not the name of basic objects around the room, e.g. Chair, Table, Bed

#5 Hien 4.0
+ He understood 50% of my oral English story
+ His vocabulary is a little bit better than Khoa`s
+ Can communicate, but with basic vocabulary
- Poor pronounciation

#6 Dai 6.5
+ I spoke at 50% and she understood 80%
+ Needs practice with pronounciation but is best in class
- When speaking she has a lot of grammatical issues
#7 Long 3.5
+ Not bad pronounciation
+ He understood 60% of a story told at 25%
+ Can understand most basic questions ( Much better listening skills than the rest)
- Had trouble introducing himself
- Low vocabulary

#8 Son 4.0
+ Can understand most questions
+ Understood 50% of a complicated story
- Poor listening skills

#9 Hue 7.0
+ Can answer most questions very well
+ Very good "Vietglish" can communicate very low but has low vocabulary
+ Understood 80% of my story spoken at 70%
- Needs to work on pronounciaton, vocabulary and grammar

+ Decent vocabulary
+ Is capable of having a small talk conversation
- Poor pronunciation
- Has trouble understanding my questions
- Poor listening skills

# 11 Ngat 3.5
- Poor listening skills
- Not great pronounciation
+ Good self introduction
+ Good at asking questions and having a basic conversation

# 12 Linh 8.0
- Needs to expand her vocabulary
+ Can communicate and understand very well
+ Understood 85% of my story spoken at 50% capacity
(mostly needs conversational practice)
