Estimation of loads:

Roof slope = 1/ 1.75 i.e, 30 degrees.

Wind pressure = 157 Kg/m2
Dead load = 13.84 Kg/m2
Live load = 0 Kg/m2
So, DL+LL = 13.84 Kg/m2

Purlin spacing = 1.428 m no. of sagrods = 1

Bay spacing = 2.8 m

Effective U.D.L on the purlin along its major axis = 0.02 t/m and ,for DL = 0.02 t/m
Effective U.D.L on the purlin along its minor axis = 0.02 t/m
Effective U.D.L due to wind load = 0.21 t/m
Effective U.D.L due to wind + dead load = 0.19 t/m

Maximum moment in DL+LL condition = 0.01 t-m

Maximum moment in DL+WL condition = 0.12 t-m
Maximum moment in minor axis = 0.003 t-m

Check forDead + Wind load:-

Actual bending stress in the purlin = 244.62 < 1.0 x allowable bending stress, hence O.K 195.696
Deflection of the section = 16.63 mm
Allowable deflection limit = 15.56 mm Hence FAILS

Check for Dead + Live load:-

Actual bending stress in the purlin = 25.75 < 1.0 x allowable bending stress, hence O.K
Deflection of the section = 2.14 mm
Allowable deflection limit = 15.56 mm Hence O.K

Check for Lateral load:-

Actual bending stress in the lateral direction = 15.22 Mpa < 1.0 x allowable bending stress, hence O.K
Actual deflection in lateral direction = 0.71 mm
Allowable deflection limit = 7.78 mm Hence O.K
