Whether you’re a regular part of our church or just visiting, it’s great to

have you with us today. Please stay after the service for a drink and a chat
so that we can get to know you better.

There’s an old saying that two things are

unavoidable in life: death, and taxes. That isn’t
entirely true - lots of people seem to avoid paying
any tax! As for death, though, a few people have
delayed it, but only one person has beaten it
completely. As we finish our series “I am” based
on who Jesus said he was, we’re going to see what he
had to say about life and death: “I am the
Resurrection and the Life”.

During our service today we will share communion. Everyone who wants to
be a follower of Jesus is welcome to participate (but if you would prefer,
please feel free just to pass on the bread and wine when they’re brought
round). The bread is gluten-free, and the “wine” is non-alcoholic.

Please bring your Bibles with you to follow the passages

read. If you’d like to borrow one, please ask a steward.
Our main reading today is John 11:1-46

Each year we run the summer BBQs free for visitors, but of course
they do cost the church money - it works out at around £10 per
person for the year. We encourage regular members of the church
family to make a contribution to this, and envelopes are available
today for this summer’s BBQ’s.

can email your details to pastor@peeblesbaptistchurch.org.
We won’t pass on your details to anyone else.
