Parts of the Middle East could became “uninhabitable” over the next 100 years
researchers have warned, due to the advance effect of climate change.
Joe Levy, director of the institute for chemistry and professor at the Cyprus
Institute found that the number of extremely hot days recorded in the region
has doubled since 1970, and this number could increase by the end of this
century.
According to the professor's research he found that under extreme
temperatures people with lighter skin will be affected the most and those with
dark skin tones will be able to survive since darker skin tones will be able to
survive since darker skin produces more of the pigment called melanin which
helps to protect the skin.
