Resumen
Abstract
The practice called synthesis of tert-butyl bromide by the mechanism of reaction SN1 was
carried out by the reaction of tert-butyl alcohol and hydrochloric acid, later cleaning and
purification methods were used with washes of sodium bicarbonate and water, then the
product of the above procedures was verified by simple distillation and compared with the
properties of tert-butyl chloride, in this way the halide formation was verified. It should be
noted that the HBr was changed to HCl due to the lack or lack of it in the university
facilities, however, each of the proposed objectives was achieved without setbacks.
En el procedimiento de destilación se
verificó que el producto formado en la
reacción del terc-butanol y el ácido
clorhídrico fuese el cloruro de terc-butilo,
esto es posible mediante la comparación
de sus puntos de ebullición, ya que
teóricamente el cloruro de terc-butilo tiene
una temperatura de ebullición de 50°C -
51°C, temperatura exacta obtenida en la
doble destilación, esto afirma la obtención
exitosa de el halogenuro.
