FEAR NOT!
GOD IS WITH YOU
“Fear not,” “Do not be afraid,” and “Have no fear”
are some of the most frequently used commands
and assurances in the Bible. There are over 300 of
such terms in the Bible, and each reminder provides
words of comfort.
There are different definitions, especially in the Old
Testament. In context, fear of the Lord means to
have respect and awe for God, our creator and
sustainer. Let’s differentiate some definitions. A
Dr. Kline Johnson phobia is an intense fear of a specific object or
Director of Johnson Center situation. Reactions that lead to distress and disrupt
carrying on with daily living is anxiety. People
become overwhelmed and lose control when worry
and fear are constant. It preoccupies their energy. This state causes
interference in relationships and leads to an unhealthy emotional, physical,
and mental lifestyle. Triggers, both real and imagined, can decrease one's
faith and trust in God. Reactions are often so severe that the individuals
experiencing them need assistance from a trained therapist and/or medication
to regain control because it involves brain chemistry. God allows the use of
medicinal interventions to help provide relief and strength.
Another aspect of fear is that God created our ability to feel and react to keep as reported by our MBA churches
