INTERNSHIP PLAN

Michigan Standard I – Visionary Leadership


Goal – Develop my leadership skills and my knowledge of the school improvement process

Activity – (Participant) Member of the Facilitators of School Improvement Team

Activity – (Participant) I will serve as a member of the School Improvement Team

Activity- (Leadership) Chair person of the Math Data Team

Activity- District Improvement Team meetings

Timeline- These activities will continue throughout the school year

Support Needed – The district will provide release time to attend FSI workshops and DIP
meetings

Michigan Standard II- Cultural and Instructional Leadership


Goal- Contribute to the supportive culture of my school

Activity- (Participant)- I will serve as a member of our schools PLC

Activity – (Leader)- I will facilitate several PLC meetings

Timeline- These activities will take place throughout the school year.

Activity- (participant) I will participate in ghost walks and walkthroughs of classrooms

Goal- Increase my knowledge of the behind the scenes running of the school

Activity- Distributed and collected eithical assessment practices form

Activity- Particiapted in discussions about building code merger and legal issues

Activity-Particapted in school summer ADMIN meeting to review student handbook and school policies
and discuss/make changes

Learning
Goal- To use data to make decisions involving students and student learning.

Activity- National Honors Society induction

Activity- 6th grade orientation

Activity- Assisted with identification process of 31a at-risk students according to the identification
criteria

Activity – Participated in the Title I Program Evaluation Meeting to identify any trends from the year
that affected the students and school, as they relate to school programs

Support needed- Access to student data, mentor availability for discussions around student data

Michigan Standard VII- Substantial & Sustained Educational Leadership Internship Experience
Goal- To take an active role in decsions and discussions about all aspects of running a school

Activity- Meetings with instructional leadership coach
