Colombian Education

Colombia is one of the largest countries in Latin América, for this reason it is one of the most

requiring the implementation of programs that include all people regardless of their economic or

social situation, in recent years has seen significant progress , to achieve quality education and

quantity, achieving that many Colombian students nowadays can access education systems from

other countries to improve their academic preparation in countries like the United States where

more than 8,000 Colombian students have arrived, allowing them to meet the world Colombian

students are prepared to enter more demanding academic centers at an academic level, which
represents a better quality of life for the students in the future.

Innovative Education

The new school system has made it possible to optimize the education that is currently received

by the educational institutions of the state, since it is an innovative system that allows the student

to interact dynamically with their teachers and partners, taking it to practice in your daily life

Due to the success of the new school program, there has been an increase in the academic level,

which has a future reflected in a better quality of life and better opportunities to develop a better

university career.

The new school program has been very well received not only in Colombia but also in other

countries of the world showing us that it is an educational model that really works.

Assessment system

It is the one in charge of monitoring and regulating the educational system at the preschool,

primary and secondary levels, guaranteeing a meaningful and relevant education for the students.

This evaluation allows improving the quality of education and is carried out through different

evaluations, which can be internal and external.


In Colombia, national tests called saber and national tests are applied, which are applied at the

third, fifth and eleven levels of high school and the ECADES test for universities.

At first, thank you so much for your remarkable comments about my contributions. Second, I want

to share my comments about your ideas.

I share your opinion when you argued that Colombia has progress in education coverage and

quality, since many Colombian students have had the opportunity to study abroad, however, I

consider that there’s too much to do with regards to give more access to low-income youngers to

the university, in Colombia university education is still so expensive and those publics are

demanding more budget approved for the government to work as should be.

With regard to new school system, I think that in fact it works and has proven that students’

performance has improved because they construct their own knowledge by working collaborative

(work groups), unfortunately, this system isn’t well-known in big cities like Bogota, this system

has implemented in rural schools mainly.

Colombian Education:

Our country has one of the rapidly education systems in the world, as a reflection it is necessary

considering that Colombian education has increased its system but there a lot of things to improve

yet. For example, more equality, more quality and more opportunities to study. If we improve these

factors maybe Colombian education will be better in the future with high levels of quality and our

society will be better in a lot of stages of productivity.

Innovate education: Fundación escuela nueva

Nowadays, a lot of students in Colombian system education has the opportunity to interact more

with their classmates and their teacher and tutors, contributing with this to the learning process in

a new model of education. In my opinion, the foundation of “Escuela Nueva” is very important

considering here is the factor is the collaboration in the classroom where the people can interact

actively in a good way to do the learning process more satisfying. Also, for me it is important that

teachers and students in this project can feel good and they acquire confidence in your team given

better results in the learning process and the most important thing is that more teacher today are

using this type of strategies beneficing a lot of students not only in our country, almost all Latin

countries.
Assessment systems:

I consider that assessment in the educational system is very important if we want to know what

the real level of knowledge is in our students and also in our teachers. To make a consistent and

constant evaluation in the educational system require different factors, for example, to know which

will be the material to evaluate the knowledge.

Making a good evaluation will improve the competences and skills in the characters of the

learning process and also, the quality of education will be better.

Education in Colombia

Colombia is a country that has a very compact educational structure, seeking in this way a

transformation of its foundations of their ideas, their bases, innovating trying to implement

different mechanisms, to obtain viable and feasible solutions in the context of education, without

However, it has limitations and structures that contribute to the fact that it cannot be developed in

a freer way and being of its purpose towards obtaining results rather than obtaining knowledge, it

generates complication in its management, the development of the abilities of Teachers are

necessary for its better development, on the other hand different changes have been generated,

where education becomes a central axis of the development of the country itself, being necessary

to see education as a requirement for the development of the country itself. -


Innovative Education

Currently we can find important changes in education, being these mainly due to the educational

idea called "escuela nueva" where the student is wanted to participate and he actively structures

his own knowledge by participating in his own learning, this contributed to improve the level of

Colombian education where we can find students with innovative ideas to present to the world

being more active and capable of developing proposals that contribute to the world, making them

more capable of developing their theories and making the students of Colombia more relevant to

international level opening more doors not only for them but for any student in the country that

develops their knowledge

Assessment Systems

Recently we have worked on it looking for a true evaluation where it is evidenced, the level of

knowledge results to know how much knowledge is internalized, recently it has been evidenced

that it seeks to evaluate in different fields not only written but also oral, It also seeks to analyze

the arguments that can be developed on the basis of these being in this way an analysis not only of

the student and their knowledge but also of the educational activities of the teachers to thereby

reinforce and correct them to obtain a better level of both the student as of the teacher, recently

has been sought to define the level of the teacher for this. By giving them further training where

they learn to improve the mechanisms they use in the classroom, evaluation in the education system

is a necessity for the educational context and without it we could not determine its effectiveness
