I, Sairyn Rose Abang 19 years old. A terror and strict daughter at the same time a sister.

came from a family that not yet perfect but a blessing to be thanks for. Yes, I may don't have a

perfect or even peaceful family but it was still my biggest blessing that given me and I really

thankful for this. We may not rich by money but I'm very thankful that I had a family like them.

They're the reason why I'm still fighting and a goal digger.

In terms of my perspective in life I could say that I'm very practical person. I prefer alone than

being with nonsense people. But on the other side I'm also a spoiled teenager. I had been

experience drinking alcohol but "salamat's ginoo wala pa pud bayay ikaduha" it's just once. I've

been attending lots of live band known or unknown specifically cueshe and silent sanctuary. No

wonder I'm a diehard fan of Francisco Gaudencio Lope Pelardo Manalac, Jr. also known as

Bamboo. I prefer live band than disco. I love rock song than love song. I love Bamboo than

Taylor Swift. I love black than pink. I love brown lipsticks than red or pink liptint. I love action

movie than love story. I love sweater than sweet shirt but I love skirt than jeans and I love

sandal than shoes.

Hence, I may did horrible things but no one has the right to judge me because above all of

this no one knows how much I am striving and trying more and more to have a better future. It

may not obvious but I'm very passionate and dedicated of what I have doing every day in my life

so with God I know I can do it.

Painting as form of art

My perspective on this painting Is;

 those something stick man (red) symbolize Gender Inequality which is worldwide issue

nowadays.
 (Naked women) I think that girl is experiencing discrimination, unjustice, and gender

inequality.
 Blindfold represent justice for women as they're experiencing discrimination.
 Knife as martyrdom but it also represent revenge and defense.
 Birds as freedom.
 Butterflies as change, hope and life.
 Yellow (barong) as sunshine, and happiness
 Green leave shows hope, renewal and revival

In general, this painting represent gender inequality at the same time hope to empower

women capabilities.

On this painting a naked woman experiencing discrimination and she itself and other

woman chasing a bird which represent freedom and that bird flying is also trying to get help

from those people who has been powerful such the police, priest, teacher and most

powerful the politician (wearing yellow barong). Though this painting really represent a

deep sadness and heartaches especially on the naked women but it also represent new

beginning. Knife shows martyrdom but it also shows that after everything what happened it

will defense itself against the discriminator. That's why green leaves, butterflies and

politicians represent a new beginning, renewal, hope, change, sunshine and happiness.

Hence, in life we're all experienced judging and discriminating by others but I know that

after all what would happen change would come and hope will shine. Let's just be patiently

wait, and he will provide it.

History and purpose of paintings in Philippines

Artistic paintings were introduced to Filipinos in the 16th century when the Spaniards

arrived in the Philippines. During this time, the Spaniards used paintings as visual aid for

their religious propaganda to spread Catholicism throughout the Philippines. These

paintings, appearing mostly on church walls, featured religious figures appearing in Catholic

teachings. In short, due to the Spanish occupation of the Philippines and the Church's

supervision of Filipino art, the purpose of most paintings in the Philippines from the 16th to

the 19th century were to aid the Catholic Church.[26]

In the early 19th century, wealthier, educated Filipinos introduced more secular Filipino art,

causing art in the Philippines to deviate from religious motifs. The use of watercolour

paintings increased and the subject matter of paintings began to include landscapes, Filipino

inhabitants, Philippine fashion, and government officials. Portrait paintings featured the

painters themselves, Filipino jewelry, and native furniture. The subject of landscape

paintings featured artists' names painted ornately as well as day-to-day scenes of average

Filipinos partaking in their daily tasks. These paintings were done on canvas, wood, and a

variety of metals.[26]

During World War II, some painters focused their artwork on the effects of war, including

battle scenes, destruction, and the suffering of the Filipino people.

In short, due to the Spanish occupation of the Philippines and the Church's supervision of

Filipino art, the purpose of most paintings in the Philippines from the 16th to the 19th

century were to aid the Catholic Church. Portrait paintings featured the painters themselves,

Filipino jewelry, and native furniture.

In terms of painting as a form of art I consider painting as the formation of society

culture because using those key elements of art you can express your thoughts and

feelings through painting. Beside, painting becomes a unique craftsman since it is hand

made and every painting can represent anything and it depends in the color, form, line,

shape, texture and value. For example the painting that I had printed it represent the

society which is at present it really existing that sometimes war victims doesn't get justice.
