Subject – Check Remaining QPREF

During each examination portal opening period CEO is receiving many queries from
the candidates regarding the applicable credit matrix to clear the desired CAT, on the basis
of their passed paper/ QPREFs.
To avoid such query during the portal opening period a NEW provision ‘Check
Remaining QPREF’’ under the ‘View Details’ tab after log-in is introduced for the benefit of
the candidates. This will facilitate a candidate to check the remaining QPREF(s) to be
PASSED to complete their desired CATEGORY as per CAR 66, well in advance.
All desirous candidates are advised to check their exam history FIRST and then on the
basis of the same, should ‘Check Remaining QPREF’’ option. Though due diligence was
given while implementing the ‘credit matrix’ in to the software, however candidates are also
advised to double check the same w.r.to. applicable Annexures - I to V of latest User Manual.
If any ambiguity observed, candidates are advised to bring to the notice of CEO by e-mail
to help.pariksha.dgca@gov.in. immediately with the respective screen-shots under the
subject line – “AME- Ambiguity in Credit Matrix. Computer No –EXXXX XXXX” and
suitable corrective action will be initiated by CEO.
All candidate who have passed few/ all papers during PRE-1992 era, MUST first
update their passed paper details as per Instruction No 3 of 2019 dtd. 7th May 2019. After
approval of their application from CEO, once their exam history starts reflecting all passed
papers, then should ‘Check Remaining QPREF’’ option.
NOTE :
1. At present in a particular session a candidate will be allowed to appear
a) In any ONE category (A1/A2/A3/A4/B1.1/B1.2/B1.3/B1.4 /B2) only.
b) In maximum FIVE QPREF(s) of that particular category.
2. At present “change of stream” while appearing in examination is allowed ONLY from
Avionics to Mechanical as per the following conditions:-
a) All B2 candidate (already having license) OR (passed Paper 1+2+ES+IS+RN)
OR (passed all QPREF as per CAR 66) may apply for any ONE desired CAT
under Mechanical Stream as per Annexure-V of latest User Manual.
b) Once stream is changed by a candidate, (unless completing a particular CAT
of that changed stream) OR (within ONE YEAR) further switchover will not be
allowed to other stream.
Henceforth during portal opening period any request for correction/ ambiguity
may not be entertained by CEO.
