Natural stone kerbs
482
ICS 93.080.20 Supersedes parts
of September 1988 edition
Straßenbordsteine aus Naturstein (withdrawn in March 2000)

In keeping with current practice in standards published by the International Organization for Standardization
(ISO), a comma has been used throughout as the decimal marker.

Foreword
This standard has been prepared by Technical Committee 10.02.01 Pflastersteine, Platten und Bordsteine –
Betonprodukte of the Normenausschuss Bauwesen (Building and Civil Engineering Standards Committee).
It supplements DIN EN 1343, which does not specify dimensions and profiles for natural stone kerbs, but
which covers all other requirements for them.
Amendments
This standard differs from the September 1988 edition in that table 3, dealing with the finishing of kerbs, has
been omitted, and a reference to DIN EN 1343 has been included.
Previous editions
DIN 482: 1920-10, 1927-10, 1928-04, 1941-07, 1958-02, 1964-07, 1974-11, 1988-09.

All dimensions are in millimetres.

1 Scope
In conjunction with DIN EN 1343, this standard covers half-battered and square natural stone kerbs. If
specifications other than those set out here are required for kerbs for special applications (e.g. bridges),
these shall be subject to agreement.

2 Normative reference
This standard incorporates, by dated or undated reference, provisions from other publications. These
