Hi! I am Naoufal from Morocco. I want to tell you about my freetime activity in my country. There are
many leisure activities in Morocco, but football, or soccer, is the most popular sport. Moroccans of all ages
enjoy this sport and often play it on the beach. There are stadiums in many cities, but the largest football
stadiums are in Casablanca, Tangiers, Rabat, Marrakech, Agadir and Fez.
The national team is called “The Lions of Atlas”. It has some of the best players who play in Europe teams.
When there is a big match, the streets get empty because everyone is at home watching the game on TV. Some
men and children prefer to watch the match in the café. It is more exciting.
For Moroccan football fans, the biggest and the most amazing football competition is “The World Cup”. We
have never won it before. We have won “The African Cup” once. “The African Cup” is exciting, too, but it is not
as exciting as “The World Cup”.
