2018. “Implementation of Anti-Smoking Ordinance Among
Universities in Roxas City.”

Thesis Adviser: Leira B. Sirilan, MS Crim

The study was conducted among Universities in Roxas City

during the second semester of academic year 2017-2018

utilizing fifty-two (52) Supreme Student Council Officers as

respondents.

The main objective of the study was to determine the

degree of implementation of anti-smoking ordinance among the

selected Higher Education Institution’s (HEI’S) in Roxas

City. The specific problems of the study were 1) What is the

socio-demographic profile of the respondents? 2) What is the

degree of implementation of anti-smoking ordinance among

Universities in Roxas City.

Descriptive research design was used in the study

utilizing a survey questionnaire in gathering the needed

data. The survey questionnaire was composed of two (2) parts.

The gathered data were tabulated, analyzed, and interpreted

with the use of statistical tools such as frequency count,

percentage, and mean.


Majority of the respondents were on the age bracket of

18-20, females, and single. Most of the respondents were

college under graduates and had an estimated monthly family

income of below Php5,000 and Php10,000-Php14,999.99.

Most of implementation of anti-smoking ordinance among

Universities in Roxas City were implemented.
