CHRONOS, retrofitting means creating customized solutions to

Retrofits or upgrades are therefore now available for most of our lines.

Due to the Variations of machines over the past 20 years, we need

to Know the existing machine serial number(s) and your ATEX
requirement to ensure the correct retrofit version.

Previous Design Some APW Scales, using either a built-in or a
remote PC456, have only 1 loadcell (Non ATEX).
Be aware that the existing single loadcell on the
Chronos APW Scale is now obsolete and will be
very difficult to support with regards to spares
and repairs.

have only 1 Non ATEX loadcell. Be aware that

PC456, already have ATEX loadcells. Be aware
that the existing single loadcell on the Chronos
APW Scale is now obsolete and will be very difficult
to support with regards to spares and repairs.
So to use available ATEX loadcells requires the
changes as below

a “Safe Area” where it is rewired back to an ATEX
Junction box mounted on the scale.
