Week Eight – Filming

FILMING

What practical work have you done
this week - and how helpful was your
earlier planning?
This week I filmed everything I need for my first production and
also edited a first draft and sent out a survey asking for 2 good
things, 2 things that could be improved and an overall rating out
of 10 for my production so that I can make a final edit which is
as good as it can be and as effective to my audience as it can
be.

How will this be useful to you as your This will be useful as I can use what I filmed to make a final

What issues did you encounter whilst
out filming and how did you
overcome them?
The biggest problem I encountered was trying to lip sync
perfectly in time as I couldn’t play the song, so I had to guess
the timing, however this did turn out good in the end. I also
came across problems with trying to get all my actors in the
same place at the same time as they also have work to do so
they were all busy most of the time.

How suitable do you feel your
locations were for your filming?
I feel they suited very well as they went with the lyrics of the song
such as the trains which helps to make it more effective to the
viewer as they feel more immersed in the music video. They also
had good lighting and looked aesthetically pleasing to the
viewer overall which adds a good effect/.

How have you made use of the I used some techniques which I have learnt so far this year such
technical skills you have developed so as jump cuts to make people disappear. I also used a bit of
far this year? speed ramping which I looked at earlier in unit 4.
Having reviewed your footage, are I am very happy and will only be reshooting some of the lip
