In Memoriam: The Rev. Henry Male, Jr
The Rev. Canon Henry Male Jr.
died peacefully on Friday, May
10. His two sons were present.
Male was a lifelong
Episcopalian, and served as
rector of Church of the Epiphany
in Clarks Summit from 1967 to
1993.
. usually meets weekly from September through May.
A service will be held at Church
of the Epiphany on Saturday,
June 8, at 10am.
Volunteers Needed
Education for Ministry Opportunity
Every baptized person is
called to ministry, but
discovering that call is
rarely easy. Designed
specifically for lay people, Education for Ministry (EfM)
is a four-year curriculum which gives participants the
opportunity to study, pray, and reflect in order to discern
their unique call to ministry.
Each EfM group must have at least six participants and
Registration is $375 per person per year, which includes
the presence of a trained mentor and all necessary
materials.

Yard Sale
St. James-St. George Episcopal Church will hold their
annual yard sale on Saturday, June 15, 2019, from 8:00 am
to 2:00 pm. A rain date is scheduled for Saturday, June 22,
2019 (same time). Space are available at a cost of $10.00.
Venders requesting space outside the church must provide
their own tables. please bring own tables. Please see Gloria
Lyons or call 570-876-3978, if interested in reserving a
space. Refreshment will be available for purchase.

Volunteers are needed to cut grass over the summer

months. Some members of our church family have
already stepped forward to help, but we need more
volunteers. There is a schedule and sign-up sheet
downstairs in Caines Hall. Please pick a week (or
several weeks) and help keep our church grounds
clean and groomed this summer. A lawn mower is
available at the church.
