2017 Usability Study for Online Training, Graduate Project, Wikiedu, San Francisco
Conducted a highly praised usability study for a Wikiedu.org online training platform for
college and university instructors. San Francisco State University's Masters in
Instructional Technologies program uses this project as an example for current students to
demonstrate high quality usability research. Highlights the full-scale heuristic and needs
assessment process, quantitative and qualitative research design, data collection &
analytics, facilitating user studies at sites, facilitating debriefing sessions, analyzing and
preparing professional research reports on teams.
2010-2015 Director, Berkeley Schools Volunteers (BSV) and Coordinator of Volunteers
Berkeley Public Schools Fund & Berkeley Unified School District (BUSD)
• Designed, authored and facilitated training for 100+ volunteer orientations for
community and specialized groups each year (PowerPoint, Adobe Suite.)
• Increased capacity & impact by over 200% by designing a blended online training
• Responsible for 30+ partnerships and volunteer programs in all 20 Berkeley schools.
• Drafted the first volunteer policy for District HR, aligned with BSV program process
