1. To offer programs that will develop the youth into mature and productive individuals, life - long learners

2. To serve as an instrument for the socio-development and progress in the local, national and global

IV. BTVTED PROGRAM OBJECTIVES


1. The technical teacher education curriculum shall impart a body of knowledge, skills, attitude, values and
experiences that will provide prospective teachers with the necessary competencies essential for
effective teaching.
2. Have basic and higher level understanding of physical education, sports history, fitness and wellness,
cultural and ethnic divides
3. Have a meaningful and comprehensive knowledge on the practice of theories and principles in dealing
with emergencies and natural disaster preparedness.
4. Can apply principles of food and nutrition in practicum setting for athletic program, wellness, fitness
centers and nutritional supplementation, preparedness and natural disaster preparedness in workplace,
school setting, recreational and sports facilities.
5. Exhibit moral and ethical standards in social and promote active healthy lifestyle, values of Fitness and
experience lifelong activity.
6. Can organize and supervise programs, and activities for physical education fitness, sports, tourism and
cultural programs
7. Develop proficiency in verbal and written communication skills via reports, presentations, and work out in
various physical, sports activities and as research produce

Course Description;

Technology for Teaching and Learning I has its three sections. Each section has chapters that presents a comprehensive
discussion of the concepts about Educational Technology, Instructional design models, theories of learning the four
types of media namely, print visual, audio and video. Its design is using the (OBE) Outcome based Education format.
Each chapter allows future educators to learn and apply the desired skills and concepts through the Explore phase,
provides opportunity to use the concepts and skills learned through the Apply phase and produce and creates an
outcome complementary with the Intended Learning Outcome (ILO) through the Assess phase

Learning outcomes

At the end of the course, the student should be able to;

1. Establish the roles of educational technology in the 21st century classrooms.


2. Trace the history and development of educational technology and information and communication technology
(ICT).
3. Distinguish the different media as to function, selecting, designing, and creating.

Skills

1. Integrate the theories and the different instructional design models for a learning experience
2. Develop lessons following the appropriate instructional design model for effective technology integration.
3. Design visual materials to enhance the attainment of specific lesson objectives using the established guidelines.
4. Create video materials to facilitate attainment of specific lesson objectives.

1. Establish the importance of educational technology in facilitating teaching and learning.


2. Infer the roles educational technology in the 21st century classrooms, based on research findings.
