What about the future?
Future
In the near future, it is likely that there will be
more competitors in the electric vehicle market
while lithium prices will keep going down as well.
A slow, but steady increase in electric vehicle sales
for the first few years seems to be a likely result.
Disadvantages Advantages
▪▪ Limited range ▪▪ Quiet
▪▪ Higher cost ▪▪ No tailpipe emissions
▪▪ Long charging times ▪▪ Recharging at home
Actual market
The production of batteries for electric vehicles is currently an expensive endeavor, although battery
prices are dropping every year. Assuming this trend will persist for the foreseeable future, and there's
every indication that it will, electric vehicles will become a lot more competitive.
Numerous major brands in the passenger car market are looking to expand their product range with
'hybrid' electric vehicles.
