ANNEXURE-I
1. DESIGN BASIS

1.1. The characteristics of the raw water considered for designing the plant:

Flow : 500 LPH

Operation Hours : 16 hrs.
1.2. Raw Water Characteristics:

S. No. Parameter Unit Value

1 PH - 6.5 – 7.5
2 Total Dissolved solids ppm <1800

In case of any change in feed water quality, the system design needs to be changed and
additional treatment required.

1.3. Treated Water Characteristics:

S. No. Parameter Unit Value

1 PH - 6.5 – 7.5
2 Total Dissolved solids ppm < 200

The offered RO system will produce product water at a normal flow rate of 500 liters/hour.
( 65 to 70% recovery)

1.4. LIMITING CONDITIONS:

Feed Water Limiting Conditions for RO Membranes:

S. No. Parameter Unit Value
1 Feed water Temperature °C 40 deg. Max
2 Feed water pH - 6.0 - 8.0
3 Feed water chlorine - Nil
4 Organic and bacteria - Nil
5 Oil and Grease - Nil
6 Fe & Mn ppm 0.05
7 Turbidity NTU <1
8 SDI - <5

 The raw water quality being not worse than the quality indicated in the offer.
 The plant is being operated and maintained strictly in accordance with our operational
procedures.
 Specified quantity of good quality chemicals are used for the pre-conditioning of the water.
 Original spare parts are to be used for replacement.

ANNEXURE-II
2. PROPOSED SCHEME OF TREATMENT

Based on the above mentioned characteristics the treatment scheme proposed is detailed below:

PRE TREATMENT

The raw water from the source, will be collected in the collection tank. The water collected in the
collection tank is fed to Sand filter and Carbon filter for removal of suspended particles, color and
turbidity.

RO SYSTEM:

The filters product water passed through the cartridge filters and pH & antiscalent dosing then water is
pumped by high pressure pump to the reverse osmosis system. The RO membrane has small pore sizes
(0.0001) which do not allow ions to pass through. The feed stream is split into two streams one is the
permeate (product) which is low TDS and other is the reject containing all the rejected salts. The
permeate water shall be collected in the collection tank for drinking purpose. The reject water can be
used gardening.

SYSTEM RECOVERY: 60-65%

PROCESS FLOW:

RAW WATER COLLECTION TANK → FEED PUMPS → MGF → ACF → MICRON

FILTERS→ DOSING SYSTEM → HPP → RO SYSTEM → DRINKING WATER STORAGE
TANK.

3. SCOPE OF SUPPLY:

4. PRE TREATMENT:
