Lack in use of modern technology

As an Assistant manager, I have analyzed that the Rode Steve business needs to
update their technology lab. From past several months, their customers are
decreasing because all the activities are done manually and manually activities do
take time. Competitors are using creative ideas for their businesses and also using
modern technology for its activities. Modern technology helps the competitor’s o
attract more customers which declines the number of customers for Rode Steve
business. I recommend that Rode Steve should use modern technology because it
will help the business in many ways. Technology will help the Rode Steve in taking
the customer order automatically and quick. Wrong order will be removed and
right order will be delivered. Customers will be available to order online form the
Rode Steve official website. Rode Steve will be available to design a website that
will attract customer. They will be keeping on updating their website and will
keep on updating its customer for upcoming events or offers that Rode Steve will
be providing. Technology will help the Rode Steve to keep an eye on their
inventory. Stocks will updated on daily basis, ongoing activities will be smooth
and if there is limited stock, they will know it with the help of updated technology
and will easily solve this problem. With the modern technology, Rode Steve will
be able to train its employee and it will improve the productivity fir the business.
HR team will be able to hire right employees for Rode Steve and these new
employees can come up with creative ideas for improving the Rode Steve
business. Finance department will be able to store its data in their computers and
will be able to analyze it profit and loss at the end of the month or year. The
balance sheet and income statement for Rode Steve business will help them to
control its activities and use the budget in those areas which are performing well
for the organization.

There are many ways in which technology helps in improving business

performance.

 No customer wants 100 mails every month. Technology will help to short
list the customer list which will be interested in a specific product or
service, you will choose those specific customer and them the email only.
This is the effective way of communicating with your customer and is cost
effective.
 Presentations can be send to other countries for analyzing the data and it
only needs one operator which will be operating the system and projecting
the presentation on the screen
 Single operator will be available to handle the transport system for the
organization. It can allocate vehicle that will cost less for the organization
and will help them with the transport route.
 Modern technology helps in reducing labor cost like one machine is able to
do work that 10 employees used to do in the past.
  Technology will help in providing the safe environment for the employee
and customer.

The aim of Rode Steve business is to regain their position in the market where
they were earning profit and running their business successfully. The main
purpose of Rode Steve business is to use advance technology, the technology will
help the business to achieve its activities effectively. For example customer will be
controlled easily and the order delivery will be fast, business will be able to satisfy
customer needs and wants, new product can be launched effectively and can get
the product feedback from the customer quickly like on social media platform and
other sources etc.
Project management plan
There are some factors that organization need to take measure of in order to
achieve management plan effectively and they are as following;

 Cost: To complete a project, money is required for it. There are many
factors that are dependent on your project cost like paying bills, purchasing
new machines and hiring new labor etc.
 Scope: It is the result achieved after the completion of the project. Scope
helps the business to improve the outcomes from a specific project. Scope
makes sure that the project is a success for a business.
 Time: A specific time s required to complete a project. Time is taken into
account at the end of the project. There is a relationship between amount
of resources allocated and for how long they were used in the project.
 Quality: The project makes sure that the activities are achieved effectively.
 Communication: employees and managers should communicate with each
other in order to effectively achieve the project.
 Risk: There are certain steps that every project should take into account
because it will guide them into right activities and will remove the obstacles
that can stop their ongoing activities.
 Resources: Make sure that right resources are used in the project because
it will save your time and labor will easily achieve the activities for the
organization

Work breakdown structure and a Gantt structure

 Rode Steve business should scope its project first

 Make sure that employees are working towards the completion of the
project.
 Keep an eye on employee performance while he/she is working on the
project
 Measurement the achievements of the project when it is finished
 The information gathered will be corrected and will be implemented
effectively
  Make sure to eliminate the problems in the project and it should give
positive result

Gantt plan for a project management plan

We will analyze the above work breakdown structure points here

 As the sales of Rode Steve business is decreasing, the manager will scope
sales while making a project. The manager will help in regaining their old
sales. The steps that will be needed for this activity will be explained by the
manager and it may take 3 days.
 The project will be explained to the employee in this step and let them
know when they have to start working for the project. Tell them how they
will improve the business product. This step will also take 3 days.
 When the project starts, keep an eye on the individual performance
because it will let you know how much time it will be required for the
completion of the project. This step will take 2 days.
 Analyze which of the objectives can be achieved for the project and which
cannot be achieved. This step will also take 4 days.
 The information of aims and objectives will be gathered. The manager will
go through the data and this research can be done with quantitative and
qualitative method. This step will also take 2 days.
 After analyzing the gathered data. Problems will be eliminated and the
success of the project will be ensured. This step will also take 5 days.

Manager has to do a small scale project in order to make the management plan
effective for the business. There are different methodologies that can be used in
order to achieve the objective for the plan. We can use quantitative and
qualitative methodology for the collection research data. Let’s compare both of
these methodologies to get the better idea of how they will help us in gathering
data for the management plan.

Qualitative data will be gathered from a targeted audience. The data can be
collected though face-to-face interviews or questionnaires, but making sure the
quality of data is there .Quantitative data can be collected though primary
research and secondary research. Primary data can be collected from face-to-face
interviews or questionnaires, secondary data can be collected from internet or
other sources like newspaper and TV etc.

Validity and reliability are two important factors of because these two factors
approve quantitative research. There are threats for validity of a data when
finalizing your research data. Threats are internal threat; external threat,
statistical threat and conclusion threats etc. External research is when the
conclusion is not correct any person or a theory, external research asks question
about old theory that exists. A statistical conclusion is doing wrong assumptions
because the data that was collected was not enough for the conclusion. Below are
the steps that will approve your quantitative research data;

 Regression analysis
  Statistical analysis

Validity and reliability of qualitative data can be approved easily by high quality
research work. Data triangulation method is an effective method which helps in
approving your qualitative research data. There are also other steps that helps in
approving qualitative research data and they are as follows;

 Keep an eye on negative data that can create problem for your theme.
 Researched bias will be clarified.
 Giving time to the data collected because it will help in making
improvements
 Keep an eye on employee to ensure the validity and accuracy of qualitative
data.

Evaluation
Project management plan will help Rode Steve business in many ways. It will
establish the scoop and boundaries for you management plan. It will align your
resources and schedule your project. The main advantage of making an effective
management plan is that gives you an idea for the risks for your project. Research
data is collected with the help of mix methodologies for this project. There are
advantages and disadvantages of qualitative and quantitative research data. The
advantage is you get feedback of your questions from different group of people
and this feedback help the product and services of Rode Steve business. The
disadvantage of using this methodology is that it is time-consuming, analyzing
feedback will take time and making a conclusion at the end will not be easy for
Rode Steve Business.

We have used the two methodologies for collecting data, qualitative and
quantitative methodology. These methodologies can be analyzed in two different
ways. First analyze data that you have collected from your research. This data
should be analysed again and again until it gives the best outcomes for the
organization. The research will help you to response in a particular way which will
be helpful for your organization. When researcher has analyzed the data he/she
goes through transcription process. We can also use numerical data to perform
our activities effectively for the project. We can use the numerical data is used it
to calculate our results with the help of excel program. Calculations will give the
value in graphs or pie charts, this will explain the problem for the organization
that the need to take care of in order to run smooth business in the future. It can
be seen that Rode Steve business is having problem with its usage of old
technology machines. They should update their technology and use advance
machine which will help them handle their activities and customers easily.

Recommendations for qualitative and quantitative research

Qualitative research can be improved in following ways;

 Make sure that the questions are the heart of your research. Customer
are not suing your product because they cannot operate your
organization site or facing some ethical issues
 When your study will establish what, than your organization will think
about whom, when and how.
 Collect data from the consumer who are using your product and record
their reaction their reaction. Use small sampling for analyzing your data.
 Data can be collected can be huge, analyze the data and pick the
effective data that will benefit your business.
 Find the problem for consumers that don’t use credit card while
shopping form your organization, don’t ask them just find it, maybe they
are facing some security issue.
 When conducting interviews or questionnaires make sure to make notes
of the customer behavior for specific questions it will help in sampling
the feedback easily.
 Make the report of your notes on power point and make a presentation.
The presentation will help in knowing the number of participants that
 took part in the interview and compare your notes with their feedback
for better conclusion.

Quantitative research can be improved in following ways;

 Interested people should be targeted for the questionnaire.

 Make sure that the questions are short and precise.
 Use specific words while doing research on internet, like if you are finding
any solution for your problem write any newspaper or famous site which
can help you with the problem and save your searching time.

Justification of appropriate tools and techniques

We have used two data method analysis for the justification of appropriate tools
and techniques. First is the transcriptions process. This method has advantages
and disadvantages. Transcription process needs fewer desks and focuses more on
the quality of work and consumes the time, less usage of space and less demand
for new desks. The disadvantage of this tool is that it eliminates those tasks
where are left or incomplete. The second tool that we used was encoding type of
data analysis, which has also advantages and disadvantages while doing work.
Ending process helps researcher to fill the data quickly or speed u data entering
process. It will consume your time and accurate data will be stored in the
organization system. Encoding will helps you with many activities for your
business. The problem with encoding process is that when you are storing so
much data, it will reduce your storage and you will have to keep on spending
money for increasing your storage data.

usefulness to support sustainable organizational performance

Undertaking of research
Different methodologies have helped the business to set some objectives and
aims for Rode Steve business. The information that the organization has gathered
is new knowledge and also has social benefits for the organization. The main of
every research is that they want to get information that they know about, the
new information helps the organization and give solution to their present
problem that they are facing, if the sales are low, organization will train the sales
team which will than increase sales for the organization. As Rode Steve business is
using old technology, the new technology will help them to know that they are
using the old technology, which needs to be change with the advance technology
and there will be many ways in which advance technology will affect Rode
business activities and will also improve their sales which have been decreased
from past months.

Evaluation of project management plan

Before the starting of management plan, the manager should set the aims and
objectives that will be achieved after the completing of this project. Objectives
should be cleared to employee that these are the objectives that have to be
achieved while working towards the project. When the objectives are explained,
manager will now be able to focus on the process of business project. The main of
the project manager is to rebuild the business like improve its performance and
work effectively while achieving objectives for the project. In order to work more
effectively towards achieving the project, work break structure should be made,
which will make your work easy and will schedule your project like which steps
you will face in future and how will you work for achieving those tasks. Mix
methodology will always helps if there is a future problem while you are in the
process of completing the project, it will give you the opportunity to have a look
at the problem from different angles and resolve them as soon as possible.

Evaluation and reflection of project outcome

After analyzing the data, management plan suggests that Rode Steve business
should use advance technology. Every work that Rode Steve business does is
manual and they face problems like;

 Delivery is not fast

 Sometimes wrong order is delivered
  Employee are not able to that how to eliminate wrong orders
 Consumer cannot order online because of manual work
 Rode Steve does not have any online site for its consumer where they can
do online shopping
 They cannot keep up to the stocks, like which stock is available and which
is not in the organization.
 Financial department is not able to effectively store organization data

Recommendation of the usage of advance technology will help Rode Steve

business in following ways

 Improve communication with consumer

 Wrong order will be eliminated easily and quick
 Online order and home delivery will be available
 Rode Steve Business will have its official website on Internet
 Will know which stock is and which stock is not available in the
organization.
 Finance department will easily store the data of Rode Steve business for
the month or year.
