to realise that every aspect of their life is the stuff of prayer. This year we will Sat 8:
emphasise prayer through daily mass and a reflective Holy Hour in front of the 11am Mass (St S)

Summer Fayre - A planning meeting for the summer fair will take place after mass 4pm Messy Church

produce a truly family friendly event that engages our local community.

O God the King of glory, you
have exalted your only Son Jesus

FIRST READING
The First reading is from the book of
Acts.
Stephen, filled with the Holy Spirit,
gazed into heaven and saw the glory of
God, and Jesus standing at God’s right
hand. ‘I can see heaven thrown open’ he
said ‘and the Son of Man standing at the
right hand of God.’ At this all the
members of the council shouted out and
stopped their ears with their hands; then
they all rushed at him, sent him out of
the city and stoned him. The witnesses
put down their clothes at the feet of a
young man called Saul. As they were
stoning him, Stephen said in invocation,
‘Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.’ Then he
knelt down and said aloud, ‘Lord, do not
hold this sin against them’; and with
these words he fell asleep.

‘I ask not only on behalf of these, but

in me through their word, that they may
all be one. As you, Father, are in me and
I am in you, may they also be in us, so
that the world may believe that you have
sent me. The glory that you have given
me I have given them, so that they may
be one, as we are one, I in them and you
in me, that they may become completely
one, so that the world may know that
you have sent me and have loved them
