Impact of Islamic teaching on students learning at elementary level

1 Introduction

The word Islam contains the same meaning as peace in the Arabic language. Islam is the religion
which came here to offer mankind a life filled with the peace and wellbeing and in which God's
mercy is manifested in the world. Allah Almighty invites the people to accept the model by mercy,
compassions, tolerance and peace may be experienced in the world. As Allah says in Holly Quran,

“You, who believe, enter absolutely into peace (Islam) and do not follow the footsteps of Satan.
He is an outright enemy to you”. (Surah Al-Baqara Verse No -208).

Islam is fundamental a matter of confidence. As M. Zafrullah Khan (1962) referenced that this
confidence represents certain trusts, that is faith in the solidarity of God, faith in the conclusiveness
of the prophet hood of Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam), conviction on the Holy Quraan
and other Holy Books uncovered to the prophets now and again, faith in Angels, confidence in the
post-existence and faith in his predetermination. These all accepts and are considered as Islamic
qualities and ways of life. Incentive in Islam is a standard on which we judge an activity to be
correct or off-base. These qualities are delegated social, moral, affordable, religious and so forth.
All the human connections are constantly represented by social qualities and in Islam all these
qualities depend on the Quraanic idea that every individual is granted by the Omnipotent Allah
with high potential for doing great to him and to society. The genuine mean of respect in seeing
Allah is a correct lifestyle as Allah says in Holly Quraan, "O humanity we have made you from a
male and a female, and have made you country and clans that ye may know each other. Lo The
noblest of you in seeing Allah is he who is best in direct. Allah is knower, Aware". (Surah Al-
Hujurat Verse No - 13) Islam has introduced a widespread fraternity moreover. It is referenced
again and again that a solid and genuine fraternity can be grown just by uprightness of human's
association with each other. Different variables like regular intrigue, basic accepts, and regular
occupations may cultivate fraternity. In Quraan Allah says, "The adherents are not else than
brothers".(Surah Al-Hujurat-Verse No 10) In Islam morals is consider as love along these lines
any work which is to be finished with lip service, deceptive nature and apparent will be annulled.
As per Ahmed Andrews (2000) the Quraan makes reference to God-awareness as the most elevated
3

nature of Muslim. "The most fair among you in seeing God is most God-cognizant". (Surah Al-
Hujurat-Verse No 13)

Mankind, unobtrusiveness, honesty, Patience, Steadfastness and satisfying one's guarantees are
sure good qualities that are stressed over and over in the Holy Quraan. As Allah says in Holy
Quraan that. "Also, God adores the individuals who are in every case firm and unflinching". (Surah
Aal-e-Imran - Verse No 146) Before clarifying the primary concerns of Islamic economy, the
essential standards of liberal financial matters from an Islamic view is featured just to look at the
distinction.

As indicated by Holt .M (1980) the fundamental standards of financial aspects progressivism speak
to thoughts which are embraced structure a verity of sources. By Islamic perspective, financial
aspects was never considered as a different field. Hussain Z (1992) out that Muslim society is
currently confronting incalculable political, affordable and social issues which must be understood
by the mean Ijtihad. As indicated by Muhammad Imran (2009) the accomplishment of man in the
existence in the future is rely on the utilization of the assets in the best and right way. A man must
most likely satisfy his central goal. So as to empower man to do this Islam looks to teach man
through the offering of petitions to God multiple times day, through the recognition of quick for
one month in a year, through the giving of Zakat on their benefits for the welfare of poor people,
through undertaking Pilgrimage to the Kaaba at any rate once amid life time and through
preparation to funeral director Jihad in the reason for God. As an Islamic nation in our arrangement
of instruction the consideration of religious estimations of Islam ought to be considered as a first
need. As indicated by Pervez hood kid (1998) in first instructive gathering pressure was given to
that education framework which ought to be enlivened by Islamic religious philosophy. The
political idea of Islam clears that Allah is incomparable power and maker of men and everything
of the world, that are helpful for men, as Allah says. "Unto him have a place with at all is in the
sky and at all is in the earth, and at all is in the middle of them, at all is underneath of turf". (Surah
Al-Taha-Verse No 6).

Islam is itself a total instructive framework, which instructs that the all the human values regular
of all religions must be created. The Islamic arrangement of education points on building up the
identity of tyke the positive way. Every one of the religions of the world with the exception of

4
Impact of Islamic teaching and its impact on students

Islam are confronting issue in characterizing or deciding good, efficient, social and religious
qualities. Islamic physiology takes care of this issue in very affected manner. Islamic idea of
various qualities established that the main point of human endeavors ought to be the looking for
of the great wishes of Allah. It additionally decides such criteria on which the human deeds can be
assessed and one can separate among great and underhandedness deeds. The optional dimension
is the most significant stage in our whole instructive procedure and it moreover needs an intensive
reproduction. The goals of auxiliary instruction ought to be vaster what's more, as indicated by the
necessities of high school life's prerequisites. It is important to give full Islamic attention to the
students of auxiliary dimension for giving great residents to nation in future. The optional
instruction ought to be founded on such target like to give a structure of education which has its
underlying foundations in the national culture and in Islamic qualities and to give instructive and
professional direction and direct kids towards the most proper course and ensuing professions, to
give downplaying to students its history and to make an energy about the all-inclusive fraternity
of a man and a spirit of universal downplaying. These destinations must be accomplished by
incorporating Islamic qualities in educational programs of auxiliary dimension particularly in
necessary subjects of sociologies which are important to concentrate to all students of all fields for
example Science, Arts and Commerce and so on. It is the most noteworthy significance that a few
stages ought to be taken in the auxiliary schools to create in them a feeling of enthusiasm and love
of their religion. This work should be possible in additional powerful route by guardians, schools
and course readings. Religion has been a piece of our life. The term religious education suggests
guidance in or about religion or religious writing for instructive, motivational and moral reason.
Its primary goal is trouble the standpoint of the tyke and to make his approach increasingly liberal
towards life and human issues. It goes for motivating him towards a good and profound conduct
and understands the last objective of his life. Dr. Syed Matlab Hussain (1986) that religious
education bears an alternate route to profound quality of a specific kind and it might be that religion
is a guide to higher profound quality that can be accomplished. There are such a large number of
elements which can advance Islamic qualities like guardians, schools, course readings and so forth.
Ustadz Haron (2008) clears that the present youth are the pioneers of tomorrow. For the better
eventual fate of Islam Muslims parent's job can't be overemphasized. The obligation building up
harmony and equity ashore lies on the adolescent's shoulder, who should be prepared for the future
difficulties, in terms of carryings Islamic message to the coming age. The splendid eventual fate
5
Impact of Islamic teaching and its impact on students

of new age is completely relied on that preparation which is given to youngsters by guardians. As
indicated by Abdul Waheed (1997) the general public is a mix of individuals from various races,
dialects, societies and convictions. It has the capacity to ingest any person, indeed, even Muslims,
except if guardians practice their job. Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said "Each kid is
conceived in a province of Fitrah (for example the unadulterated and characteristic province of
Islam accommodation to the Will of Allah), yet his folks make him a Jew, Christian or a Magian".
In addition, it is a piece of the job of guardians to arrange various exercises, for example, addresses,
outing, petition, film appears, Islamic library and merriments that each adolescent will take an
interest in, it will string quick in advancing Islamic incentive among the adolescent. At last, it is
the obligation of guardians to instruct the young Islamic partner and not as we see life on links and
satellite dishes in our various homes.

Before, guardians and teachers used to prepare the youngsters as indicated by higher temperance’s
and ethics. As per S. R. Sharma (2006) a large portion of individuals would concur these days that
ethical education isn't just a solitary one of the significant worry of school however that it ought
to have a consistently expanding impact in the life of the school. Be that as it may, in Pakistan the
huge social changes throughout the last sixty three years, extensive size of urbanization, rootless
challenge for money related gain drain record-breaking and vitality from guardians. Behind the
parent the job of schools in instructive procedure is huge as Deepak Tiwari (2006) says that in our
general public the teachers are local officials for the general population, and this is the reason that
society has the high desires for schools. They are required to have propelled learning, abilities and
high moral qualities. As indicated by Andy Aldrich (2006) no other identity can have an impact
more significant than that of school. Along these lines, a degenerate and a debauched class of
teacher can hurt a country more truly than a class of degenerate and debased legal executive, armed
force, police, government officials, and organization.

The endorsed books are everything for the student. They fill a need of an instrument in the hands
of teachers. As per P.V.V. Satya Narayan (2004) the school course books should be astounding
completely. At exactly that point the teachers on the schools will most likely release their
obligation all the more proficiently. In getting ready of course book the religious viewpoint must
be considered by pros as S.R. Sharma (2006) says that there is by all accounts little uncertainty
that ethical instruction in some structure will discover a spot in the reading material of future both
6

at essential and optional dimension, however what structure it will take. In any case, in Pakistan
the huge social changes in the course of the last sixty three years, huge size of urbanization, rootless
challenge for budgetary gain exhaust untouched and vitality from guardians. Behind the parent the
job of teachings in instructive procedure is extremely huge as Deepak Tiwari (2006) says that in
our general public the teachings are local officials for the general population, and this is the reason
that society has the high desires for schools. They are relied upon to have propelled information,
aptitudes and high moral qualities. As indicated by Andy Aldrich (2006) no other identity can have
an impact more significant than that of school. In this way, a degenerate and a wanton class of
school can hurt a country more genuinely than a class of degenerate and debased legal executive,
armed force, police, legislators, and administration. The recommended books are everything for
the student. They fill a need of an apparatus in the hands of schools. As indicated by P.V.V. Satya
Narayan (2004) the school course readings should be brilliant completely. At exactly that point
the teachings on the schools will most likely release their obligation all the more proficiently. In
getting ready of course book the religious perspective must be considered by pros as S.R. Sharma
(2006) says that there is by all accounts little uncertainty that ethical education in some structure
will discover a spot in the course books of future both at essential and auxiliary dimension, yet
what structure it will take is as yet a matter of enquiry, pondering and potentially activity inquire
about. One of the serious issues in endeavoring to discover a spot for religious instruction in its
very own privilege on the school educational programs is that of what to incorporate and what to
avoid. Moral issues emerge in numerous different regions for instance history, writing, science,
wellbeing education and so on. The course readings of obligatory subjects ought to be arranged in
the light of Islamic qualities since it is important to peruse these books to all students of all fields
for example expressions, science, business and so forth. By watching the necessary course books
of auxiliary (ninth and tenth) level, it clears that numbness of Islamic qualities is very normal. So
there ought to be an impression of Islamic human progress in all course readings of auxiliary level.

1.1 Background

7
Impact of Islamic teaching and its impact on students

Pakistan developed as independent state in 1947 at the downfall of frontier routine in south Asia.
Since the commencement, instruction is being viewed as significant for the power, security and
advancement of Pakistan. That is the reason in his message to the members of first instruction
meeting in 1947 the originator of the country said "there is no uncertainty that the eventual fate of
our State will and should incredibly rely on the sort of education we provide for our youngsters
and the manner by which we bring them up as future residents of Pakistan" (9). At the season of
freedom principal issue was protection and proliferation of belief system Pakistan to the following
ages. Thus, as indicated by Lingard & Ali (10), at that time it was fundamental to determine the
job of Islam in educational programs and guidance. Since, Pakistan appeared as a country of
Muslim Indians; the assumptions towards the situation of Islam in education are in every case high.
A similar inquiry stayed key to this date. Not long after the freedom in 1947 an instructive meeting
was organized by the administration to format key rules for the future instructive arrangements.
While tending to the gathering Mr. Fazlur Rahman said;” I consider it of indispensable significance
that our instruction framework ought to be energized and guided by these standards" (11) While
underlining upon the nitty-gritties for education arrangement of Pakistan he further emphasized
that (12); "Our instructive approach ought to accord current necessities and furthermore mirrors
those thoughts which are the genuine base of the making of Pakistan. We should change the
Pakistan into that majority rule state, which residents have the physical, scholarly and moral
characteristics to lay a decent life and for this reason we should get profits by Islamic qualities and
development. Our instructive framework should get rule from Islamic standards. It is just Islam in
all through school of considerations which displays a total code of human compassion and
solidarity. Without good and otherworldly preparing logical advancement can be unsafe for
humankind". After the gathering no huge advancement was made towards the improvement of
education framework in Pakistan as a result of the grievous passing of the dad of the country and
political precariousness amid 1950s after the death of the main leader of Pakistan. In 1959 a
commission was comprised to change the current arrangement of instruction in the nation. The
report of the National Commission on Education expressed that; "Our instructive framework must
need to assume significant job for securing those speculations by which Pakistan appeared. Battle
for Pakistan was really forming a way for the security of Islamic lifestyle. The general population
of Indo-Pak requested a different nation just for living their lives openly as per the Islamic qualities
(13)." Therefore, the commission proposed that measures ought to be embraced to instruct the
8
Impact of Islamic teaching and its impact on students

residents so that Islamic qualities and standards might be instilled among them to empower them
to experience their lives as per the lessons of Islam (14). In addition, the commission worried after
upgrading religious education through tutoring. It was proposed that the religious education ought
to be given in three phases for example necessary, discretionary and investigate based (15).
Similarly it was planned to incorporate Quraan (Nazira and interpretation), Seerat-Un-Nabi,
Muslim history and writing in educational modules for the rudimentary and center dimension
students. For rest of the dimensions Islamic Studies was proposed as discretionary subject (16). In
1969 proposition for new instruction strategy were looked for from the specialists just as from
general society. These recommendations and ensuing instruction strategy likewise tended to the
issue of Islamization of education in the state. It was asserted that Islamic examinations will be
made obligatory up to optional dimension and research in this field will be energized at the college
level (17). Essentially the education approach 1972introduced progressive measures to Islamize
the instruction. The strategy suggested that Islamic qualities and convictions ought to be a piece
of the whole educational modules as opposed to showing Islamic Studies as a necessary subject.
In addition, the arrangement prescribed to shape education framework as indicated by "our religion
and by residual the incredible customs of our civilization"(18). Noteworthy commitment for
Islamization of instruction in Pakistan was made through education approach 1979. The
arrangement expresses that "it is the need of the day that we get ready clear Islamic points of
education and the technique for their accomplishment ought to be finished by the hypothesis of
Pakistan"(19).According to the strategy significant targets the instruction were.

i. To make the sense among students that they are the individuals from Islamic world, one
next to the other the individuals from Pakistani country.
ii. To build and orientate the character of students as per Quran and Hadith so they would be
earnest and steadfast Muslims (20). To accomplish these destinations the strategy
recommended number of inventive measures. A portion of the measures are recorded as
under; Islamiyah will be incorporated into all dimensions of scholastic, specialized and
proficient establishments as a necessary subject.
iii. In all schools and universities the educating of Arabic will be sorted out.
iv. A total personnel of shariah will be set up in Allama Iqbal Open University.

9
Impact of Islamic teaching and its impact on students

v. Changes will be raised in the educational modules and reading material as indicated by the
standards and hypothesis of Islam.
vi. The significant status will be given to mosques and five thousand mosque schools will be
built up for students in all through nation.
vii. All Madrasahs, Maktabs and Darul-Ulooms will be given full significance and every one
of the students of Madrasahs will be given similar offices like other formal instructive
institutions (21).

In continuum of the state endeavors for making the arrangement of education as per the lessons
of Islam the instruction strategy 1992 again engaged upon the issue. The strategy asserted
acknowledged that "The genuine outcomes couldn't be accomplished by just Islamizing the
education. This strategy recommends the program by which students could comprehend the
genuine back rub of Islam and set them up to embrace current and logical needs in context of
Islam" (22) Another education arrangement was introduced by the legislature in 1998. This
approach likewise centered on the changes in education system and to make it in line with the
instructing of Islam. The instruction arrangement 1998 expressed that; 1. There are a few
arrangements of the strategy with respect to Islamic instruction: pp12-13 2. Showing the Holy
Quran with interpretation will be presented from class VI and will be completed by class XII.
3. The essential lessons of the Holy Quran will be incorporated into every one of the courses
of studies. 4. Significant and uncommon books on Islam will be republished and circulated
among Deeni Madaris for research and reference. 5. Educational program and reading material
of the considerable number of subjects will be updated in order to bar and erase any material
hostile to Islamic lessons and values, and incorporate adequate material on Quran and Islamic
lessons, data, history, saints, moral qualities and so forth, identified with the subject and
dimension of education concerned (23). The instruction arrangement 2009 is the most recent
exertion for improving education arrangement of the nation and making it perfect with the
remainder of the world without bargaining upon the Islamic considerations and qualities. The
arrangement centered transforming the framework by "injecting Islamic and religious lessons
in the educational modules, wherever appropriate"(Government of Pakistan, 2009).

2 Literature Review

Education in Pakistan stays inside the open segment at all dimensions despite the fact that tip top
establishments are considerably more prone to be found inside the private area. The educational
programs for the extensive number of open segment schools is given last endorsement by the
Curriculum Wing of the Federal Ministry of Education. The reading material arranged by the
common course book sheets pursue the rules given by the Curriculum Wing over and again
underscore the need to teach a barely characterized set of Islamic Values.

The emphasis on Islamic investigations turned out to be substantially more articulated after
General Zia Ul Haq‟s overthrow in 1977. Islamiyat had been a necessary subject from Class I up
to Class X yet it was presently influenced obligatory to up to B.A/B.SC (Bachelor of Arts/Science
qualification equal to 14 years of tutoring). Be that as it may, it isn't required at the M.A. arrange,
yet when students show up in expert examinations, for example, MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine
Bachelor of medical procedure) or CSS (focused examinations for the Federal common
administrations) they again need to think about Islamiyat as a different subject and can qualify just
in the event that they go in this test also. Under General Zia, from Class VI to Class VIII, it was
made mandatory for students of all religions to learn Arabic. The avocation was to empower
Muslim students to secure a superior perception of Quraanic lessons. Already, Arabic had been a
discretionary subject. Amid a similar period, an area of the Islamiyat prospectus was isolated for
Sunnis and Shias at the dimension of Class IX and X. Separate books were presented for students
of the two groups yet a typical book was reintroduced in 1999. Notwithstanding, they endeavor
particular areas of the examination paper. (Faizi: 2010:98) From Class I to Class VIII the subject
of Diniyat (Religious Studies) was instructed in government schools. Yet, in 1997, the subject of
Islamiyat (Islamic Studies) was presented. The previous subject included space for a presentation
of different religions, however practically speaking this does not seem to have been executed on
any huge scale in the study halls. For students of influences other than Islam, there are not many
practicable choices to contemplating Islamiyat. In Class VIII, there is exceptional paper civics for
non-Muslims, for which students of minority networks may show up. Be that as it may, schools
only here and there have any arrangements for the instructing of this subject. In 1987, a book on
morals to be utilized by minority communities‟ students was created by the Sindh Textbook Board

14
Impact of Islamic teaching and its impact on students

and in this way printed by the Punjab Textbook Board, too. Additionally, it isn't presently
accessible. For the most part non-Muslims students take up Islamiyat as a subject despite the fact
that it isn't mandatory for them. In schools, youngsters for the most part have no less than a few
times of Islamiyat seven days, some of the time more, of 45 minutes each. The Islamiyat
educational programs puts a premium on teaching a Muslim character among Pakistani kids. In
the subject of Islamiyat, ideas, for example, Jihad are encircled as far as taking up arms against the
heathens as opposed to in the more extensive translation that would benefit Jihad against
destitution, absence of education or imbalance. (Faizi: 2010:99).

There are three primary kinds of religious foundations or Koranic schools where just the Koran is
instructed, Mosque schools where both Koranic and common subjects are educated and Madrassas
where just Islamic learning happens. The mission of most Madrassas in Pakistan is to get ready
students for religious obligations. Holding fast to severe religious lessons, Madrassas show Islamic
subjects, for example, the Koran, Islamic law and Jurisprudence, Logic and the Prophet's customs.
Contingent on the dimension of the Madrassa (essential, center or high), the grouping of religious
lessons increments. Hafiz-e-Koran (the person who retains the Koran completely) or Qari (theone
who can discuss the Koran with great elocution and in a melodic tone) are delivered at the lower
dimension of Madrassas. The more elevated amounts of Madrassas produce Alim – the Islamic
researcher or potentially teaching. An Alim authentication from a Madrassa is proportional to a
MA degree in Islamic examined or Arabic from an ordinary college. A Madrassa understudy
subsequent to moving on from evaluation 10, is sufficiently qualified to proclaim Fatwas –
religious decrees. Those students who take on Madrassas full time do as such with the learning
that they will turn out to be knowledgeable in religious investigations just and will secure positions
in the religious part since not very many Madrassas supplement religious instruction with
mainstream subjects. (Uzma Anzar: 2003:14-16)

There are five noteworthy Islamic schools of thought in Pakistan: Deobandi, Bareili, Ahle-Hadith,
Salafi, and Shia. Every order has their very own Madrassas in which they show their very own
rendition of Islam. The two primary organizations of Sunni Islam - Deobandi and Bareili -
overwhelm the Madrassas framework in Pakistan26. Deobandi schools are most regularly found
along the AfghanPakistan fringe and inside the downtown areas. The Deobandi and Bareili
organizations started in the pioneer Indian sub-landmass in light of the apparent majestic plot to
15
Impact of Islamic teaching and its impact on students

crush Islam and its adherents by upholding its very own variant of training. The Deobandi faction
is viewed as the most moderate and against west. The center religious educational modules in
Pakistani Madrassas is like some other Madrassa on the planet with the exception of that it had a
couple of more books in Persian.

Pakistani Madrassas pay substantial accentuation to the lessons of Arabic and Persian. The dialects
in the Pakistani Madrassas are not instructed for their genuine worth but rather on the grounds that
they encourage authority of the religion and on the grounds that they are important for an Alim.
For this reason Arabic, obviously, involves the inside stage. Persian, which was socially and
scholastically fundamental in Muslim India, still structures some portion of the educational
programs. Urdu is commonly the vehicle of guidance in Pakistani Madrassas. Urdu is, surely, the
language in which Madrassa students become most able in the greater part of the Madrassas. The
vast majority of the books from which dialects are instructed are old Arabic and Persian books that
were written in the 1500's or previously. Pakistani Madrassas today still show a significant number
of the Dars-e-Nizami writings. These are probably the most established leaving Arabic books.
Students additionally think about the Persian interpretation of Arabic books. "The Arabic books
are treatises on sentence structure in rhymed couplets. A standout amongst the best known among
them, Kafia Ibne-Malik, is obscure to the point that it is dependably educated through a critique
called the Sharah Ibn-e-Aqil. The editorial is frequently the fear of students and a wellspring of
pride for the teaching who has aced it. In the Madrassas Arabic isn't educated as a living language.
(Rehman: 1998:197-214)

The showing style of a run of the mill school in a Pakistani Madrassa, particularly, in lower grades
is extremely totalitarian and little kids are rebuffed for not complying with the guidelines and
guidelines. Serious flogging is the standard, which results in high dropout rates. A Majority of the
schools is guys who are the result of the Madrassa framework. A couple have gone to Al Azhar in
Cairo to increase specific Islamic learning. Al Azhar additionally seconds a portion of its Islamic
researchers to different Madrassas everywhere throughout the existence where they instruct
religion to students in higher classes (Rehman: 1998:210-11)

16
Impact of Islamic teaching and its impact on students

As indicated by government measurements, there are right now 11,491 madrasas in Pakistan, albeit
informal sources have evaluated their numbers to extend from 12,000 to 15,000 with an all-out
understudy enlistment of 1.7 million. Pakistan Education Statistics gives the absolute number of
madrasa students in the nation as 1.518 million out of which 140,431 have been recorded as
enlisted at the tertiary dimensions, i.e., in Sanavia Aama, Sanavia Khassa, Alia Almia and Darja-
eTakhassus. Most madrasas are related to a specific school of doctrina introduction—Deobandi,
Barelwi, Ahl-e-Hadith and Shia. Each doctrinal school has built up its own league (wafaq) of
partnered madrasas that endorses educational modules, sets up benchmarks, conducts
examinations, and issues diplomas.(Pakistan Education Statistics: 2004:225)

The following are the major madrasa federations in Pakistan:

Wafaq-ul-Madaris Deobandi Multan 1959

Tanzim-ul-Madaris Barelwi Lahore 1960

Wafaq-ul-Madaris Shia Lahore 1959

Rabitatul-Madaris-al-Islamia Jamaat-e-Islami Lahore 1983

A Historical Study of the Determinants and Evolution of the Islamic System of Education
identifies with the examination of elements that have driven and still contain the elements for
structure a solid arrangement of instruction in Pakistan. Islam, as a religion, appears differently in
relation to the European idea of a religion. It includes the totality of Muslim life that draws its
motivation from the Quran and Sunnah. This is a wide calculated distinction between the two
methodologies – the one clearly individualistic and the other communist. So as to convey it home
to the cutting edge mind, Islam, thusly, with every one of its radiations, through its key sources,
on the Islamic rationality of life that vindicates the financial, political, philosophical and moral
establishments, has been talked about in detail. Since, these parts of life are completely
communicated in the belief system of Pakistan which still keeps on residual a living power in our
nation, today, this dialog would solidify the base on which the structure of Islamic Education on
stands.(Tirmizi:258) The connection between the belief system of Pakistan and Islam as a nation
17
Impact of Islamic teaching and its impact on students

has been definitely clarified with the goal that the cutting edge brain may surely know the impact
of Islamic theory of life that gives firm roots to building up a reasonable arrangement of training
in Pakistan. It is a chain advancement dropping down as mixing of revelation and sane learning
that fixes together these determinants to advance and sort out the instruction standard that bears its
own validity. It charms its very own developing sum, distinguishable from different ideas.

Islamic idea of information, destinations of training, educational programs, showing procedure,

assessment, educator understudy relationship, instruction voyages, ladies training and the job of
Masjid (mosque) are an eccentric pronged sign of these determinants, seen and found in each
Muslim society. The method of reasoning behind the sorting out and breaking down of these
determinants is to bring out and encourage scores of diverse inquires about in numerous ways.
This may in the long run give a standard base to affirm the research organization of the instructors
and the dynamic job of the instructive foundations. (Tirmizi: 258)

4.1 Discussion

This study learn that countless who go out from the auxiliary instructive foundations are totally
unbeneficial for Islam. A large portion of them are against of Islamic qualities, conventions and
culture on which the structure of Islam is developed. Schools couldn't substantiate themselves as

30
Impact of Islamic teaching and its impact on students

good examples particularly in this period when the rulers themselves needed to complete it, that is
the reason the obligation of the teacher has been progressively expanded. In British period the
essential character of Islam had been begun to decimate. We can say what seeds sowed by them
are presently substantial/solid trees. To draw out our age from these hopeless conditions we should
be given the shade of Islamic culture to our entire instructive framework. The guardians have an
extraordinary duty to give Islamic learning to kids, at that point school and reading material
additionally manage them. Be that as it may, they all are most certainly not satisfying their
obligation genuinely.

5 Conclusion

5.1 Summary

The word Islam contains the same meaning as peace in the Arabic language. Islam is the religion
which came here to offer mankind a life filled with the peace and wellbeing and in which God's
mercy is manifested in the world. Allah Almighty invites the people to accept the model by mercy,
compassions, tolerance and peace may be experienced in the world. As Allah says in Holly Quran,

“You, who believe, enter absolutely into peace (Islam) and do not follow the footsteps of Satan.
He is an outright enemy to you”. (Surah Al-Baqara Verse No -208).

As Islam is very vast religious and itself as a complete educational system. There are lots of
researchers who have done about the knowledge of Islamic education. The study aims to shows
the descriptive research about to evaluate the roles of different factors like parents, teachers, text
book etc. in promoting the knowledge among the students of elementary students of Government
High School Todar pur Shujabad Multan, Pakistan. The specific objective of study to clear the
duty of parent regarding the Islamic education providing to the students. The second objective of
this study is teachers who providing the Islamic knowledge among students. Special focus was
given to the elementary level education because at this stage many sexual changes occur among
children, so the education of Islamic values is essential for a child. The population for this study
is 100 teachers and 100 students of Government High school Todar pur Shujabad Multan, Pakistan
of session of 2018-19. So the 200 respondent was selected randomly as for answering the
questionnaire for the data collection. The data was collected through interview and questionnaire.
The statistical analysis of given data been presented through the simple percentage and correlation
methods. The results identified the importance of Islamic values and determined the role of
parents, teachers and other factors in promoting Islamic values. The Reponses that been obtained
in this research shows that the Islamic values and parents and teacher who involves usually fails
in their jobs for promoting the Islamic education among students. In the light of conclusion it was
recommended that parents should play their active role in providing Islamic knowledge and text
books should also be written in perspective of Islamic values.

5.2 Conclusion

For the most part the reactions demonstrates that mindfulness among the young men and young
ladies of optional classes are in positive yet they need increasingly point by point data through the
course books, guardians and teachers. It has been seen that young men have progressively religious
learning instead of young ladies as they for the most part offer their supplications in mosques.
They find out additional from reasonable precedents given by Imam and other individuals asking
in mosques. They nearly watch Islamic social qualities fit as a fiddle outside the home while the
young ladies try not to have these open doors aside from the young ladies have a place with
religious families. The researcher likewise explains the job of guardians and teachers in giving
essential learning of Islam to the students. As indicated by him the guardians have the
extraordinary obligation in such manner however they are bombed in their activity.

5.3 Recommendation

In light of the findings from this study, the following recommendations are made for academicians
in general. The report investigation uncovers that all the education approaches gave clear headings
and edge of activity to Islamize the instruction arrangement of Pakistan. In any case, there is have
to decide if the succeeding governments attempted endeavors to pursue the headings. To the extent
the proposals of the first instructive meeting 1947 are concerned, these had filled in as the
establishment for all the education strategies. As proposed by the gathering members the
philosophy of Pakistan had dependably been the key purpose of the considerable number of
arrangements in Pakistan. Albeit, as per the suggestions of the meeting, the Ideology of Pakistan
had dependably been the indispensable piece of the considerable number of arrangements, yet
Ahmad contends that the idea of the "Philosophy of Pakistan" has had its offer in the scholarly
stalemate acquiring today. Along these lines, this may be changed according to the prerequisites
of current time (25). The proposals of National Commission on Education 1959 and following

33
34

instruction approach 1972 contributed altogether incorporate to Islamize the education framework.
Without precedent for the historical backdrop of Pakistan Islamic Studies was instructed as
obligatory subject and measures were taken to advance Islamic standards and qualities among
masses. The instructive scene in Pakistan was altogether changed by The New Education Policy
of 1979. Five thousand mosque schools were opened and the educational modules of the state
funded schools was changed to incorporate Islamic belief system. Ashraf (2009) observes that
Zia's Islamization changes totally changed the instructive arrangement of Pakistan. Religious
schools, or madrasas, mushroomed, yet in addition got official government backing and account
from worldwide associations. Islamic investigations ended up mandatory subject up to graduation
level and Arabic was likewise instructed as necessary subject at basic dimension. Degrees from
Madrasas were perceived and the schools of Arabic and Islamic investigations were similarly
profited by government offices. Up till now, the changed national educational programs still
recommends instructing of Islamic belief system and ceremonies in subjects, for example, Urdu
writing and general information that are compulsory paying little respect to an understudy's
religion. (Universal Crices Grpup, 2014). Since education approach 1992 Holy Quran, in one way
or the other, is being educated with interpretation in Pakistani schools. Educational programs was
updated by various occasions to suit religious parts and to fulfill diverse weight bunches requesting
exceptional changes dependent on Islamic customs. Madrasa changes had its effect and in excess
of ten thousand madaris are enlisted with the administration where 1.7-1.9 million students are
selected (28).

1. Being an Islamic country our whole educational system should be organized according to
Islamic values and civilization.
2. From primary level till higher education it is necessary to train the individuals according
to Islamic values especially at elementary level to build child’s character positively.
Parents have a great role in the education of child. Especially moral education can be
3. Provided to the child by parents in better way. It is the duty of parents specially mothers
to give more and more time to their children for removing the involvement of new
generation in emulation of west and materialism.

34
35

4. Teachers also have the same responsibility to provide religious education in practical
way. The students can only be influenced by practical examples provided by their
teachers. For example the method of prayer, disciplined personality, prohibited things in
Ramzan, avoiding of false and unfair means etc.
5. The text books should be prepared in perspective of Islamic civilization to motivate the
students acting upon Islamic values.
6. Well-known text books in use should be scrutinized by a group of competent Muslim
scholars and notes or monographs published for use as adjunct instructional material.
7. There should be a meaningful relationship between the text book boards, the boards of
Intermediate and elementary education and the curriculum development centers as well
as education extension centers.
8. Meetings should be arranged frequently by the text book boards for the review of text
books. It is sorry to say that the books are not revised according to the needs of time. So
it is necessary to update these books time to time.
9. Parents should avoid separate family system because it is main reason of less Islamic
education of child. If the parents both are busy in their jobs, then how can they give full
attention to their children?
10. Elementary schools administration should arrange Islamic programs like lectures and
quiz programs for increasing the knowledge of students at elementary level.
