By the end of this lesson, the students will be able to:
1. Recognize the appropriate habits in taking care of themselves when using the computers.

2. Demonstrate the proper ways in handling the computers.
3. Respect the computer.

TOPIC Lesson 2: Caring for our Computers

MATERIALS Book, Laptop, TV, Powerpoint Presentation


A. Preliminary Activities

PROCEDURE
 Exercise
B. Activity
 Each pupil will be group. As a group, they are going to identify a picture that shows the proper use of the computer.

C. Analysis
 The teacher will let the students analyze a pictures that shows the proper use and improper use of computer.

D. Abstraction
 The teacher will ask the students on the cause and effects of improper use of computer or not taking care of the
computer.

E. Application
 The class will visit the computer laboratory. Each student will be using one computer, and they are going to turn on and
turn off the computer. The teacher will observe if they follow the proper using of computer.

EVALUATION The students will answer Quiz 1.2.

 Each pupil will be group. As a group, they are going to identify a picture that follows the computer laboratory rules.

C. Analysis
 The teacher will let the students analyze a signs about the rules and regulations in the school including the classroom
and the computer laboratory.

D. Abstraction
 The teacher will ask the importance of having a rules.

E. Application
The class will visit the computer laboratory. Each student will be using one computer, and they are going to turn on and turn off
the computer. The teacher will observe if they follow the computer laboratory rules.

 Each pupil will be group. As a group, they are going to identify the statements that following the computer laboratory
rules. Each group will be given 5 statements and display the answers on the board.

C. Analysis
 The teacher will let the students analyze a signs about the rules and regulations in the school including the classroom
and the computer laboratory.

D. Abstraction
 The teacher will emphasize of doing each rules in the class.

E. Application
 The class will visit the computer laboratory. Each student will be using one computer, and they are going to turn on and
turn off the computer. The teacher will observe if they follow the computer laboratory rules.

2. Illustrate the components that make up a web application.
3. Appreciate the importance of writing a site specifications and creating a storyboard for a web application.

TOPIC Chapter 1: Web Applications (Writing a Site Specifications Document and Storyboarding for your Webapp)

MATERIALS Book, Laptop, TV, Powerpoint presentation, Bond Paper.

B. Activity
 Presentation of the subject matter using Powerpoint. There will be a group activity and each group will brainstorm on
what web application they are going to propose and develop.
C. Analysis
 Each group will analyze the given situation on page 2 of the Web Application Development book.
D. Abstraction
 The teacher will ask the students about component of a web app, and the importance of site specifications document
and storyboard.
E. Application
 Each group will apply the knowledge in creating a site specifications document and storyboard. For the Site
Specifications. It should include the Title of the Website, Proposed Domain Name, Audience, List of Pages, Theme and
Layout.

EVALUATION The students will answer Quiz 1.2.

ASSIGNMENT Group assignment. Revising the proposed site specifications document and storyboard. The final output should be printed.

 Group activity. The class will go to the computer laboratory. Each group will visit 2 international websites and 2 local
websites. They will also try to make an order online.

 After visiting the websites, students will compare which websites are better, international or local e-commerce.
D. Abstraction
 The teacher will discuss the local and international payment gateways.
E. Application
 Each group will be going to evaluate the e-commerce websites using the activity sheet. Each group will share the ideas
in the class.
