I am contacting you about the opening you have posted for an EC-6 teacher position in your
district. I believe I could be an asset to your district. Ms. Green, of Plum Creek Elementary, has
encouraged me to obtain my certification because I have worked well with the students at her
campus. I have worked with Ms. Green for the last eight years as a substitute and volunteer. I am
familiar with that district, not only because I have worked for JISD the last fourteen years, but I
also attended JISD and have lived in the Joshua/Godley community most of my life.
I enjoy working with this age of students because there is such a curiosity to learn new things. I
like to teach them, not only what to learn, but how to learn and apply their knowledge across
curricula. I have worked with many cooperative learning structures through my courses which I
believe would be great for this age of students. I have worked successfully with these students in
the past and would be eager to apply the new concepts I have learned.
I am interested in the position and am available anytime for an interview. Attached is my résumé.
I can be reached by phone or text at 817.937.1326 or by email at jobush2018@gmail.com.
