A challenge I have faced was when my dad went away to Mexico, attempting to get his

papers. This was a challenge because my dad went away for a month and since I was the only
other male besides my two-year-old brother, I had to take care of my family and be the man of
the house. With my dad being gone, I had to take over the tasks my dad would usually perform.
I would go to work and help my uncle with my dad's route of houses for his landscaping
company. But before going to work, I would go to school and maintain good grades for that
duration that my dad was gone. Besides helping with my dad's landscaping company and
sustaining good grades in school, I had to complete home tasks at home such as taking out the
trash, washing dishes, water the plants, and wash my clothes. I also had to attend my weekly
soccer practice on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
